In The Know with Gino…

The City of Chattanooga has embarked on an ambitious project to design a Comprehensive Recreation Program Plan aimed at creating enjoyable, inclusive, and engaging recreational options for community members of every age.

The initiative seeks to guide Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors in expanding popular programs, upgrading recreation facilities, and enhancing public open spaces. A key focus is ensuring equitable access to high-quality recreational experiences for all citizens.

In order to tailor the plan to the needs and wishes of residents, city officials are actively seeking public input. To facilitate this process, residents are encouraged to spend approximately 10 to 15 minutes completing a couple of simple exercises…

Local community members are invited to share their thoughts on what recreational activities, programs, and enhancements are most important to them and their families. To do so please click here.

One notable activity allows individuals to pinpoint their favorite recreation spots and provide feedback directly on a map, highlighting specific parks and facilities in the area. To do that, click here.

City officials are also interested in residents’ visions for the future of Chattanooga Parks & Outdoors programs, emphasizing that community feedback is essential to shaping the city’s recreational landscape. To leave your comments click here.
