In The Know with Gino…
In a heartwarming initiative aimed at keeping senior citizens warm this winter, the Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) and the Mayor’s Council on Livability & Aging launched their first annual Senior Snuggles Blanket Drive. This community-focused event invites residents to contribute by donating new, unwrapped blankets to help those in need.
The drive kicked off in November, allowing generous citizens to drop off blankets at any CFD fire station, the CFD training center located on Amnicola Highway, or at the Fire Administration building. Donations will be accepted through January 14, 2025, providing ample time for the community to come together and support its senior population.
Community members are encouraged to spread the word about the drive and engage with friends, family, and neighbors to maximize the impact. Whether you can spare one blanket or several, every donation helps in creating a warm and welcoming environment for Chattanooga’s seniors.

Together, let’s wrap our seniors in comfort and showcase the spirit of compassion that makes Chattanooga a great place to live!
