As winter arrives, the Chattanooga community is coming together once again to ensure that no child goes cold.

The annual Coats for Kids drive, a collaborative effort among NewsChannel 9, FOX Chattanooga, The CW Chattanooga, and Hits 96, is taking over Camp Jordan to collect warm clothing for children in need, benefitting the Forgotten Child Fund.

This year’s event is scheduled for this Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Camp Jordan, located at 323 Camp Jordan Parkway in East Ridge.

Volunteers will be stationed at a drive-through collection point across from the Camp Jordan Arena, ready to accept new coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to help children stay warm during the cold months.

Those unable to attend in person can still contribute by shopping from the Coats for Kids Amazon Wish List or making a financial donation online.

Additionally, families in need of coats can apply online or visit the Harrison Community Center at 5637 Highway 58 to request assistance.

Last year’s drive was a tremendous success, collecting 2,445 coats and raising over $38,700 in donations to support local children and families.

Everyone is encouraged to join in and make this winter brighter for Chattanooga’s children. For more information or to donate, visit FORGOTTENCHILDFUND.ORG
