The Celebrity Beat…

The Drake Kendrick Lamar beef isn’t over yet.  At least not in Drake’s mind.  Yesterday, he filed a defamation lawsuit against his own label, Universal Music.

It’s all about Kendrick’s diss track “Not Like Us”, in which he calls Drake a PEDOPHILE.

In his lawsuit, Drake says Universal, quote, “approved, published and launched a campaign to create a viral hit out of” the song…

Which was, quote, “intended to convey the specific, unmistakable and false factual allegation that Drake is a criminal pedophile, and to suggest that the public should resort to vigilante justice in response.”

It adds that Universal, quote, “intentionally sought to turn Drake into a pariah, a target for harassment, or worse… because it would profit from damaging Drake’s reputation.”

Drake and Kendrick are both signed to subsidiaries of Universal.  Drake is on Republic Records, and Kendrick is on Interscope.
