Ford Is Working On Vehicles That Will Snitch If You Are Speeding

If you are not a fan of Ford vehicles, here is yet another reason to not like the American Automaker. Ford is trying to gain a patent on a system they have created that would automatically report speeding vehicles to the police by using the cars onboard cameras to snitch on OTHER drivers.

An equipped Ford vehicle could report a vehicles speed and pictures directly to law enforcement and roadside monitoring units.  The cops would also receive GPS details to help locate the speeder. For now, they’re working on getting the patent.  They haven’t installed the technology in any cars.  And even if they do add it, there would surely be a legal battle since the police wouldn’t be there to see the violation.
