The Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians (GSCSA) are turning cookie season into a celebration of flavors with their inaugural “Great Cookie Tasting” event in collaboration with WanderLinger Brewing Co. This adult-oriented affair promises an evening of delight, featuring a fusion of delectable Girl Scout cookies paired with locally crafted Tennessee libations.

Scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, April 11th, from 6-8 p.m., at WanderLinger Brewing Co., attendees can expect a memorable evening filled with food, beverages, and fun.

As the curtains close on the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie season, WanderLinger Brewing Co. will host this unique event, marking the finale with a flourish. The brewery will expertly pair their assortment of craft beers with the iconic Girl Scout cookies, providing attendees with a taste sensation like no other. Moreover, the event will culminate in the crowning of the “Tennessee Valley and North Georgia Favorite Cookie” from The Great Cookie Competition, adding an element of friendly competition to the evening’s festivities.

The competition is fierce, with four talented competitors vying for the coveted title. Simone Busby represents Thin Mints, Madyson Foster Smith champions Samoas, Shaquanta Locke advocates for Tagalongs, and Regan Jenkins stands behind Trefoils. These dedicated representatives will bring their A-game to the table, showcasing the best qualities of their respective cookies in hopes of clinching the top spot.

Tickets for this mouthwatering event are priced at $20 and can be purchased online at GIRLSCOUTSCA.ORG/TGCT. Each ticket includes a flight of beer thoughtfully paired with four Girl Scout cookies, along with light appetizers to round out the culinary experience.

Notably, the proceeds from the event will remain local, serving to bridge the funding gap for the Girl Scout experience, enhance program offerings, and support regional GSCSA camps and community troops. The event owes much of its success to the generous support of sponsors, including WanderLinger Brewing Company and others.

With anticipation building and taste buds tingling, the Great Cookie Tasting promises to be an evening of indulgence, camaraderie, and community support, as Chattanooga comes together to celebrate the delicious intersection of cookies and craft beer.
