The Hamilton County Health Department is kicking off the new school year with a community-focused event designed to ensure students are ready for the classroom.
The Back-to-School Open House will take place this Thursday, July 24th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the department’s East Third Street location, 921 E. 3rd St.
Families and students are invited to attend the event to access a variety of FREE resources aimed at making the back-to-school transition smoother. The event will feature FREE school supplies, food trucks offering complimentary meals, pediatric vaccines, dental appointment scheduling, and access to vital community health resources.
Health officials emphasize the importance of up-to-date immunizations, and children MUST BE PRESENT to receive vaccines or other services. The event also offers FREE vaccine records and car seat education to promote ongoing safety and health for young students.
Bilingual staff will be available to assist families, ensuring language barriers do not prevent access to essential services. Participants are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies for school materials and food are available while they last.
