A charming bulldog named Odie from Dalton, GA and his owner, Lisandra Rosillo, are calling on the community to help him take the spotlight in the nationally recognized contest, “America’s Favorite Pet.”
Currently in the quarter-finals, Odie is competing for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize and be featured on the cover of Modern Dog magazine.
“It would mean the world to me if everyone could support Odie by voting,” Rosillo expressed to Hits 96. “He’s such a sweet dog with a personality that lights up the room. All it takes is a Facebook account to vote, and everyone gets a free vote every 24 hours!”
Odie, who has captured the hearts of many, has an Instagram following of more than 400K and a Tik Tok with more than 1 million, and he is not just a pet; he’s a beloved family member with his own unique story waiting to be shared. If he wins, Odie’s adventure will be showcased in a two-page feature of Modern Dog, highlighting what makes him one-of-a-kind.
The contest isn’t just about competition; it also aims to raise awareness for animal welfare through a partnership with PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society), which supports cats, dogs, and other wildlife animals to thrive in happy environments. Since its inception, PAWS has facilitated the adoption of over 130,000 pets and cared for thousands of injured wildlife.
As Odie gears up for the semi-finals, Rosillo is urging the local community to embrace their love for pets and lend their support. “Voting is easy, and you can even make a donation for extra votes if you’d like,” she said. “The more votes Odie gets, the closer he gets to making it to the next round—so please, share the love!”
