For the first time in Olympic Summer Games history, the Opening Ceremony will break tradition by moving away from the confines of a stadium. Instead, this year’s ceremony will be held in the heart of Paris, with athletes parading down the iconic Seine River on a flotilla of boats. This unique event promises to be one of the most unforgettable moments in Olympic history.
On Friday, July 26th, the NBC broadcast of the ceremony will be streamed live at 1:30 p.m. to the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX 3D Theater, offering viewers an immersive experience of the event.
The Opening Ceremony is a significant event that highlights athletes from around the world. This new format will bring viewers closer to the action than ever before. Over 10,000 athletes aboard 94 boats will navigate the Seine, traveling from east to west through the city center. Each boat will be equipped with cameras to provide live footage of the parade as it completes a 3.7-mile journey, ending at the Trocadéro, opposite the Eiffel Tower.
Tickets for this special viewing event are priced at $20.24 for general admission.
Showtime is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time on July 26th. Don’t miss this historic and spectacular start to the Olympic Games!
