How to Keep Your Pumpkins Fresh

Let’s talk about the pumpkins you DON’T carve.  The ones you might use as decorative displays on the porch or yard.  This video shows a safe way to keep them fresh for two months . . . without using bleach, which can harm wildlife.

Fill your sink with warm water and one cup of white vinegar.  (Use a bathtub for larger pumpkins.)  Make sure you soak all sides of the pumpkin for 10 minutes, and then let it air dry.  You can go one step further by rubbing it with Vaseline.
