95-Year-Old Texas Man Sets Guinness Record As World’s Oldest Bus Driver

Raymond Hager of Wichita Falls, Texas, has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest active bus driver. The 95-year-old was verified at 94 years and 176 days old on May 13 while working for Falls Ride, the city’s public transit system. He began driving at age 14 and discovered his preference for larger vehicles before joining Falls Ride 27 years ago. Initially planning to retire at 95, Hager now intends to continue working as long as his health permits. Wichita Falls honored his achievement by declaring November 18 as Raymond Hager Day. “Goodness. Pride. Proud. Thankful that I had been blessed. Little country boy to achieve something like that,” Hager said about his record-breaking accomplishment. (Story URL)
