Bus Company’s Most Unusual Lost And Found Items Include A Dino Suit

Oxford Bus Company collected 4,387 lost items in 2025, returning 1,013 pieces to owners, representing about 23% of all found belongings. The British transit company’s most unusual discoveries included an inflatable dinosaur costume, a potato with googly eyes, rubber ducks, fortune cookies, a baby bonsai tree, pickled onions, a bicycle tire, a 22-pound rice bag, Nerf guns and a yoga mat with inspirational quotes. “Essentials such as keys, mobile phones, umbrellas, purses and wallets are among the most common items, but there are also several unexpected ones, too,” said Andy Morison, head of digital and customer experience. The company uses its NotLost online service to help passengers reclaim belongings either in person or by mail. Previous unusual finds included retro adult magazines, raw chicken in a jar, bar stools and Donald Trump toilet paper. Unclaimed items go to local thrift stores. (Story URL)
