Ed Sheeran Does First Fan Gender Reveal Onstage In Kansas City

Ed Sheeran brought his Mathematics Tour to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday and helped a couple in the audience celebrate a special moment. “My first gender reveal,” the singer captioned a video on Instagram. The lucky couple — who appeared to be holding a sign — passed an envelope through the crowd to Sheeran. “I will go back to singing ‘Perfect’, but I feel like this is the first time, sort of thing” he says.

He then opens the envelope, marked “Congratulations,” before announcing, “It’s a girl.” The emotional couple then share a kiss as their fellow Sheeran fans applaud and cheer all around them. “Can I just say, as a father of two daughters, this is very awesome,” Ed then shared from the stage. (He and his wife, Cherry Seaborn share two daughters, Jupiter and Lyra.)
