Florida Man Arrested After Destroying Pride Flag At Starbucks

Tucker Kemp faces criminal mischief charges after destroying a Pride flag at a Florida Starbucks around 9:15 AM on Wednesday. Police say Kemp spoke with a manager about “being offended by the flag and the fact that they should put up an American flag.” When the employee explained displaying the Pride flag “was their policies,” Kemp “decided to take matters in his own hand,” according to an arrest affidavit. Authorities allege Kemp poured tea on the flag, then “ripped the flag from the wall” and threw it in the trash. Officers estimated damages to the wall and flag at approximately $210. Kemp was booked on the misdemeanor charge and released after posting $500 bond. (Story URL)
