Lizzo-Headlined ‘Made In America’ Fest Canceled By ‘Severe Circumstances’
Jay-Z’s annual Made In America festival, which was scheduled for Labor Day weekend, has been canceled. “Due to severe circumstances outside of production control, the 2023 Made In America festival will no longer occur,” the official statement reads. “This decision has been difficult and has not been made lightly nor without immense deliberation.”
Organizers plan to bring the festival back next year, and are offering refunds to all ticketholders. The star-studded lineup was set to include headliners Lizzo and SZA, along with Metro Boomin, Ice Spice, Latto, Coi Leray, Doechii, Mase, Cam’ron, and more.
Social media immediately started speculating about the reasons for the cancellation, with most assuming that Lizzo’s recent sexual harassment is at least partially to blame.
