New music from Paramore is on the way. The band announced their first new single in five years will be titled “This Is Why,” and will be out on September 28.

Earlier this year, singer Hayley Williams confirmed that the band was in the studio working on their 6th album. Their last release was 2017’s After Laughter.

As they made the announcement on their socials, there was no hint of what it may sound like. Fans were posting and hoping for at least a snip of the audio before the due date.

The song will drop just in time for of Paramore’s upcoming US tour, which launches on October 2nd in Bakersfield and runs through the middle of November.
