‘Wonka’ Tops The New Year’s Box Office

Wonka took the lead at the domestic box office over the long weekend, bringing in $30 million and beating out Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Color Purple. Deadline reports that the film is currently behind 2005’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by 6%. However, Wonka is doing better than 2018’s Mary Poppins Returns by the same margin.
