You might not have realized that you’ve been reciting some of the most iconic movie quotes WRONG.

Here are eight examples:

1.  “Saw” (2004)

Wrong:  “Do you want to play a game?”

Right:  “I want to play a game.”

2.  “The Silence of the Lambs” (1991)

Wrong:  “Hello, Clarice.”

Right:  “Good evening, Clarice.”

3.  “Jaws” (1975)

Wrong:  “We’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

Right:  “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

4.  “The Wizard of Oz” (1939)

Wrong:  “Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.”

Right:  “Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.”

5.  “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (1937)

Wrong:  “Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?”

Right: ” Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?”

6.  “Forrest Gump” (1994)

Wrong:  “Life is like a box of chocolates.  You never know what you’re gonna get.”

Right:  “Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates.  You never know what you’re gonna get.”

7.  “Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back” (1980)

Wrong:  “Luke, I am your father.”

Right:  “No, I am your father.”

8.  “Field of Dreams” (1989)

Wrong:  “If you build it, they will come.”

Right:  “If you build it, he will come.”
