EAST RIDGE, TN – Get ready for a day of fun, music, and community spirit as the City of East Ridge prepares to host its 2nd Annual Fall Festival at the picturesque Camp Jordan Amphitheater on Saturday, October 7th. The festivities will kick off at 10 am and continue until 5 pm, promising a day filled with excitement for all ages.
Organized by the City of East Ridge, this year’s Fall Festival is set to be bigger and better than ever before. The event will feature live music, an array of arts and crafts vendors, delectable food trucks, and a wide range of activities for children in the Kid’s Zone, including giant inflatables, face painting, pumpkin painting, and kids tattoos – all free of charge. Families can enjoy classic yard games and participate in multiple games of cornhole and giant Jenga, courtesy of a partnership with Top Golf.
The event’s highlight will be the musical performances scheduled throughout the day. From 10 am to 12 pm, the audience will groove to the tunes of Et Cetera, a band known for their exploration of rock, funk, jazz, and blues. Following them, from 1 pm to 4 pm, Rick Rushing and the Blue Grass Strangers band will take the stage, playing a mix of blues, jazz, reggae, and rock music.
One of the unique attractions of this year’s festival is the Craft Axe Throwing booth, offering attendees a chance to experience the thrill of axe throwing for free. Over 100 craft vendors will be present, offering a diverse selection of handmade goods. Additionally, a variety of food trucks, including favorites like Tennessee Rebel BBQ, Eleanor’s Diner, and Snow Monkey, will tantalize taste buds with their delicious offerings.
City Hall departments are joining the festivities too, setting up booths to engage with the community. The Parks and Recreation Department will raffle a coveted season pass, providing the winner with a year of free participation in city-sponsored sports teams. The Police Department will offer a unique experience with “drunk goggles,” simulating the sensation and dangers of impaired driving. Animal Control will host “Kiss the Pooch,” a delightful fundraiser for the local animal shelter, while the Codes Department will entertain attendees with arcade basketball games throughout the day.
The Fall Festival promises a day of laughter, music, and community bonding, offering a perfect opportunity for East Ridge residents to celebrate the vibrant spirit of their city. Best of all, parking and admission to the event, as well as activities in the Kid’s Zone and family yard games, are entirely free, ensuring that everyone can join in the fun.
