Normally when you are shopping for a new home for your family, you go to an open house, secure a loan and make an offer. This week’s Simple Simon only completed step one. A man in Virginia went to an open house and told the realtor he loved it, which is perfectly fine and legal, but two days later the man showed back up to the house with his kids and just moved in. He did not make an offer or anything just moved in and attempted to claim the house. When police arrived, they ordered the man to leave so they arrested him and come to find out he had outstanding warrants in neighboring counties. The kids were sent to protective services and he is looking at several charges and looks like his next home will be jail cell.
