Here’s the latest on how the Southern California wildfires have been affecting our favorite celebrities…
1. Beyoncé is donating $2.5 million to the L.A. Fire Relief Fund created by her own charitable foundation, BeyGOOD. The money will aid families that lost their homes, and the churches and community centers that are helping them.
2. More celebrities doing their part: Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation is donating $500,000. Jimmy Kimmel opened a donation center on the backlot of his show, which returned to the airwaves last night. Remember that rapper The Game? He’s helping reunite survivors with their lost pets. Doja Cat designed some new merch for the Red Cross to raise money and Jane Seymour is housing her “Dr. Quinn” co-star Joe Lando and his family, who lost their home.
3. David Spade is offering $5,000 to anyone who helps catch people lighting fires.
4. The Grammys are still a go for February 2nd from L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena. The show will help raise money for the relief effort.
5. The announcement of the Oscar nominees has been pushed back again. It’s now scheduled to happen on Thursday the 23rd. But the show itself is still on for March 2nd.
6. Tom Brady had to reportedly hire private security to protect his $20 million L.A. mansion from looters.
7. The FBI paid a visit to Ben Affleck’s Brentwood home, but he’s not in any trouble. It had something to do with their investigation into the drone that collided with a firefighting airplane.
8. The major studios are kicking in tens of millions of dollars for the relief effort.
