The energy of 70,000 Swifties at Taylor’s Swift’s Eras Concerts in Los Angeles back in August caused earthquake-like tremors.  Or as I like to call them, “Swiftquakes“.

These were caused not by the volume of the music, but by the GROOVING OF THE SWIFTIES to said music.

A team of researchers recorded vibrations from motion sensors set up inside and near SoFi Stadium, and they were able to detect 43 of the 45 songs she performed.

Here are the Top 5 songs that caused the biggest Swiftquakes and their respective magnitudes:

1.  “Shake It Off”:  1.798

2.  “You Belong with Me”:  1.796

3.  “Love Story”:  1.76

4.  “Cruel Summer”:  1.71

5.  “22”:  1.64

Not even a Metallica concert has strong seismic activity.  One of the researchers thinks it’s because their concerts don’t have choreographed dancing and metal fans headbang rather than bounce and dance.
