While Market Street Eateries Say Goodbye, Taco Mamacita on NorthShore Reopens

UPDATE: According to NOOGAtoday, Thai Smile will be closing its doors in July — but it won’t be for good. They will be relocating further down on Market Street. We’ll keep you posted with more details once they’re announced!

After Ernest Chinese made its announcement, another wave of changes is taking place in the Scenic City’s food scene. Two more eateries on Market Street are saying farewell, but there’s also some exciting news to share!
Taco Mac, the popular Tex-Mex restaurant known for its hearty tacos and lively atmosphere, has officially served its last customers and closed its doors permanently.
Meanwhile, Thai Smile, a favorite for authentic Thai cuisine, is set to close its Market Street location after serving the community for years. Diners are still welcome to enjoy their meals until Sunday, July 6th, giving ample time for last visits and goodbyes.
Despite these closures, there’s a bright spot for local food lovers: Taco Mamacita has reopened its NorthShore location after a period of closure for renovations that began in December. The revamped spot continues its tradition of serving flavorful Tex-Mex fare.
As the Chattanooga culinary scene continues to evolve, residents can look forward to new adventures and familiar favorites alike!
