A survey of 2,000 U.S. adults found that 52% see self-care days as temporary fixes, and 41% have let self-care practices slip over the past year.

44% find it difficult to balance all aspects of health due to household chores, caring for family, and work.

Mothers in particular say their self-care has fallen behind.

“In a fast-paced world, many expect instant gratification and are focused on quick fixes, which leaves them feeling discouraged when they don’t experience immediate results,” Satya Jonnalagadda of Medifast said. “Staying persistent and motivated can be difficult.”
