55% Of Parents Think Kids Today Need More School Supplies

Chattanooga, Tennessee—(Pulse)
58% of parents think school supplies have become more expensive, and 55% believe kids today need more items for school than they did.
The Cricket Wireless survey of 2,000 millennial parents found that 72% say kids need a smartphone, and 71% say they need a laptop.
More than half of parents surveyed have talked to their kids about saving for something special and the difference between wants and needs.
As for low-tech school supplies, kids still need pens and pencils, paper notebooks, and erasers.
