If You Want to Learn Something, Picture It Either Bleeding or Having Sex

Chattanooga, Tennessee—(Wise Brother)
Here’s a technique to learn something you’re reading about or studying and remember it.
If you really want it to stick in your brain, you need to create VIVID, SHOCKING mental pictures of it. So basically, use your imagination to surround the subject with things that are violent, gory, sexual, colorful, noisy, or wild.
Believe it or not, this idea comes from MEDIEVAL MONKS and how they studied. And it also kind of explains why art used to be so bloody.
One example: If you were trying to learn the zodiac signs in order, one 14th century scholar said you should picture a huge Aries white ram with gleaming golden horns . . . kicking a bright Taurus red bull in the testicles.
Then picture the bull bleeding in front of a woman screaming as she gives birth to Gemini twins. As the twins emerge, they’re playing with an angry red Cancer crab that’s pinching them and making them cry. And so on.
Again, this comes from monks.
