90-Year-Old Texan Woman Earns Master’s
Chattanooga, Tennessee—(Pulse)
Minnie Payne is graduating from college…at 90 years old. The Texan woman received her master’s degree on Sunday from the University of North Texas. She is the oldest person to obtain a master’s in UNT history.
Payne received her undergraduate degree at 73 and worked as a writer and editor for 16 years. She now has a job at Houston Style Magazine.
“I don’t plan to retire,” Payne said. “I plan to drop over at the computer.”
