The Celebrity Beat…

Josh Peck released a statement yesterday in light of the “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” docuseries.

In one of the episodes, his “Drake & Josh” co-star Drake Bell reveals he was sexually assaulted as a child by his dialogue coach at Nickelodeon.  Fans were accusing Josh of “staying silent“, and Drake had to step in and ask them to go easy on him because they’ve talked already.

In Josh’s post, he confirmed they spoke privately.  Quote, “[I] want to give my support for the survivors who were brave enough to share their stories of emotional and physical abuse on Nickelodeon sets with the world…Children should be protected… Reliving this publicly is incredibly difficult, but I hope it can bring healing for the victims and their families as well as necessary change to our industry.”

Nancy Sullivan, who played their onscreen mom on “Drake & Josh”, also shared support for Drake.  Quote, “It broke my heart into a million pieces to hear just how much Drake was holding inside while we were working together.”
