Calling all runners and dog lovers! The Humane Educational Society (HES) is thrilled to announce the upcoming Fast & Furriest 5K, a tail-wagging good time designed to raise money for a worthy cause. The event promises a day of fun, fitness, and furry friends for participants of all ages and abilities.

The Fast & Furriest 5K will be held at Greenway Farms3008 Hamill Rd, North Chickamauga Creek, Hixson, TN 37343 on Sunday, March 23rd and will be MC’d by our own Gino D!

The race kicks off at 9:00 AM, but early birds can pick up their packets the day before at the Humane Educational Society (4155 Randolph Cir, Chattanooga, TN 37406) from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, or at Greenway Farms on race day between 7:30 AM and 8:45 AM.

The event features two exciting options: a dog-friendly 5K race for seasoned runners and their canine companions, and a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk.

For those who would love to experience having a dog by their side, the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk will allow participants to borrow an adoptable shelter dog from HES and enjoy a scenic stroll. Please note that these adoptions will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so participants are encouraged to arrive early.

In addition to the races, the event will feature a Vendor Village with pet-friendly treats and goodies, offering a chance to spoil your pup. Participants can also meet adoptable animals and potentially find their new best friend!

Participants who bring their own dogs are reminded to keep them on a leash and in their control at all times, and to be responsible and clean up after their pets.

All participants will receive a FREE event t-shirt and can enjoy complimentary coffee and donuts from Tasty Donuts before the race.

Post-race, a free lunch provided by 1885 Grill will be available. Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Finishers in the 5K race.

Registration Fees:

5K Race: $50
1-Mile Run/Walk: $35
