This Sunday, November 16th, the Chattanooga Market will turn up the heat with the annual Scenic City Wings competition, a fiery celebration of local culinary talent and community support. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can indulge in a wing-tasting extravaganza while helping to fight hunger in the region.
The event features five local eateries—all vying for the title of Scenic City’s Best Wings of 2025. For just $15, attendees receive two wings from each restaurant, offering a chance to sample a variety of flavors and styles. Participants will not only enjoy delicious bites but also cast their votes for the People’s Choice award, with a panel of judges selecting the Judges’ Choice winner. Two trophies will be awarded at the end of the day, celebrating the best wings as chosen by the crowd and experts alike.
Last year’s People’s Choice winner, 1885 Grill, is back to defend its title with a signature recipe that features wings marinated in a special ‘Proud to be American’ spice blend, lightly battered, fried to perfection, and tossed in their renowned Carolina Gold Sauce. Their wings are a staple at their St. Elmo location and are crafted with spices from Alchemy Spice, a Chattanooga-based company that began its success at the market.

Joining the competition are other local favorites including Southside Social, Whiskey Cowgirl, Pizza Bros, and Smoke Sesh Catering.
The event underscores Chattanooga Market’s ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses and the community. All ticket proceeds go directly to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, helping to combat hunger in the region.
The event is made possible thanks to the gracious donation of chicken wings by Koch Foods, allowing the event to serve as both a fun food fest and a vital fundraiser. Attendees can purchase tickets online HERE or at the event from the Chattanooga Area Food Bank tent.

In addition to the tasty competition, live music will be featured on the Lodge Cast Iron Sizzle Stage, with performances by Maria Jordania at 12:30 p.m. and Charly Lowry at 2:00 p.m., adding to the lively, community-focused atmosphere.
Join us this Sunday at Chattanooga Market for a day of spicy fun, community giving, and some of the best wings in town — all for a good cause!
