The Celebrity Beat…

It’s official:  Taylor Swift is part of the “Toy Story” franchise.  She wrote an original song for the “Toy Story 5” soundtrack called “I Knew It, I Knew You”.  It comes out Friday.

Taylor reunited with collaborator Jack Antonoff for this one, and it’ll be a return to her country roots.  The song is inspired by, quote, “rootin’ tootin’ cowgirl Jessie’s ongoing journey in ‘Toy Story 5’ that began back in ‘Toy Story 2’.”

Taylor says, quote, “I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5-year-old kid watching the first ‘Toy Story’ movie.  I fell instantly in love with ‘Toy Story 5’ when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening.  Sometimes you just know, right?

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Taylor Swift release without variations. On her website, she was selling three collector’s edition CDs:  The single, an acoustic version, and a piano version, each with different artwork. They sold out pretty much immediately.
