Tennessee Aquarium Offers 50% Discount for College Students and Corporate Partners This Month

The Tennessee Aquarium is offering significant discounts this September as part of its biannual College Days and Partner Days celebration, running from September 10th through September 30th. This promotion provides college students, faculty, staff, and employees of sponsoring companies with 50% off admission tickets, making it more affordable to explore the aquarium and enjoy engaging IMAX films.
Visitors can purchase tickets at the Aquarium’s Riverplace Ticketing Center or the IMAX 3D Theater box office by presenting valid identification such as a college ID, transcript, or workplace ID. The discounted rate covers the entire visiting party, reducing the cost for adults to $20 and youths aged 4 to 17 to $15. Children under age 4 can enter FREE of charge. Additionally, IMAX 3D film tickets are available for just $5, offering a cost-effective way to experience the theater’s 45-minute documentaries, though this discount does not apply to full-length feature films.
Among the new attractions to explore is the recently opened Scuttlebutt Reef gallery, designed to dispel common myths about marine animals through a whimsical display of 11 exhibits. The centerpiece is a detailed 6,000-gallon replica of the Coral Triangle, home to over 40 species of fish, corals, and invertebrates. Visitors will encounter fascinating marine creatures such as Green Moray Eels, Peacock Mantis Shrimp, and Siberian Lumpsuckers as they explore the gallery.

For those seeking adventure on a larger scale, the IMAX 3D Theater features immersive films like Wild Asia: Life at Extremes, which showcases the diverse habitats of Asia and the remarkable animals that inhabit them, from snow leopards to desert-adapted jerboas. Ocean Dreams 3D takes viewers on an underwater journey from Norway’s fjords to Indonesia’s vibrant reefs, highlighting the beauty and diversity of marine life around the globe.
Guests interested in a year of exploration can take advantage of a 15% discount on annual memberships during College and Partner Days, providing ongoing access to the aquarium’s exhibits and programs.
