FORMER CHILD ACTOR AUSTIN MAJORS DIES AT 27: Page Six reports that Austin Majors, the former child actor who played Theo Sipowicz on NYPD Blue, was found dead at a homeless facility on Saturday (February 11th). He was 27 years old. While his cause of death is not yet known, the outlet reports that a fentanyl overdose is suspected. Majors' family confirmed the news on Monday (February 13th) and said in a statement that he was "a loving, artistic, brilliant, and kind human being."

ACADEMY PRESIDENT SAYS RESPONSE TO OSCARS SLAP WAS ‘INADEQUATE:' Deadline reports that at the annual Oscar Nominees Luncheon Monday (February 13th), the President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Janet Yang, called the Academy's response to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars "inadequate." She told nominees, "I'm sure you all remember we experienced an unprecedented event at the Oscars. What happened onstage was fully unacceptable, and the response from our organization was inadequate. We learned from this that the Academy must be fully transparent and accountable in our actions, and particularly in times of crisis you must act swiftly, compassionately and decisively for ourselves and for our industry. You should and can expect no less from us going forward."

‘BARNEY' IS GETTING A REBOOT: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barney the dinosaur is the next ‘90s icon to get a reboot. Mattel announced on Monday (February 13th) that an animated series will be released in 2024, along with a line of consumer products for those under the age of six. The company added, "Apparel and accessories for adult fans, featuring classic Barney, are also in development."

AMY POEHLER AND TINA FEY ANNOUNCE JOINT COMEDY TOUR: People reports that Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are going to be hitting the road together in their first joint comedy tour starting in Washington, D.C. this April. A press release states that they will "celebrate their thirty years of friendship with an evening of jokes, iconic stories and conversational entertainment." The pair joked, "If this tour goes right, we can finally end this friendship!"

CHECK OUT THE TRAILER FOR THE ‘CHILDREN OF THE CORN' REMAKE: Deadline reports that the first trailer for Kurt Wimmer's reimagining of Stephen King's Children of the Corn dropped on Monday (February 13th). According to the outlet, the movie follows "a 12 year old girl in Nebraska who is possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield. She recruits the other children in her small town to go on a bloody rampage and kill all the adults and anyone else who opposes her." The film is expected to reach theaters on March 3rd.

It looks like there may be trouble in paradise for Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. On Saturday (February 11th), the Jennifer’s Body actress shared a post to Instagram that has people speculating about whether she and the “Bloody Valentine” singer have broken up.

Along with photos of herself and video of a burning envelope, Fox shared lyrics from Beyonce’s “Pray You Catch Me,” writing in the caption: "You can taste the dishonesty/ it's all over your breath.”

When a fan commented, "He probably got with Sophie," referring to guitarist Sophie Lloyd, the Transformers actress responded, "Maybe I got with Sophie," along with a fire emoji.

Fox also deleted photos of the pair together from her page, including their engagement announcement from January of 2022. She later deactivated her account altogether.

A celebration of life ceremony was held for Stephen “tWitch” Boss in Los Angeles on Saturday (February 11th), with approximately 500 guests in attendance—including stars such as Ellen DeGeneres, Loni Love, and Wayne Brady. Joe Smith, the family’s pastor, hosted the ceremony.

Many tributes were made in honor of the late dancer. His wife, Allison Holker, and their 14-year-old daughter, Weslie Fowler, stood in front of family and friends and spoke about how Boss touched their lives. "He was the light. He chose love, grace and kindness. And he deserves to be celebrated," Allison said.

Stephen died by suicide at the age of 40 in December. Guests were invited to donate to the Move With Kindness Foundation, which "aims to carry on the legacy of Stephen 'tWitch' Boss by spreading love and mental health awareness."

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about her struggle with alopecia, an autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss. This comes after Chris Rock made a joke about her bald head at last year’s Oscars, and Will Smith reacted by storming the stage and slapping him across the face.

The Set It Off actress told the outlet that her diagnosis has been "a great teacher." She added, "It’s been a hard one, a scary one — because specifically as Black women, we identify so much of ourselves with our hair. And it was scary. I had to really dig deep and see the beauty of myself beyond my aesthetics.”

Following the infamous Oscars slap, Pinkett Smith said, “I learned a lot about detachment. And I learned a deeper beauty within myself, being able to let my hair go.”

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Magic Mike’s Last Dance hit theaters over the weekend, topping the charts at the domestic box office. The movie pulled in $8.2 million, while Avatar: The Way of Water took second place with $6.9 million. Paramount’s rerelease of Titanic, showing at just 2,464 theaters, claimed third place.

ALEXANDER LUDWIG AND HIS WIFE LAUREN ARE EXPECTING A CHILD: The Hunger Games actor Alexander Ludwig and his wife, Lauren Ludwig, are expecting a baby. The pair announced the news to Instagram Saturday (February 11th) and commented on having suffered multiple pregnancy losses. Along with a photo of Alexander holding Lauren’s baby bump in a mirror selfie, the Vikings actor wrote, “It’s been a long road, and we wanted to wait until things were looking promising this time around. CODY LONGO DIES AT 34: According to Entertainment Tonight, Days of Our Lives actor Cody Longo passed away at the age of 34. His body was found in his bed on Wednesday (February 8th), at his home in Austin, Texas. His wife, Stephanie, called the police while she was at work because she had an “uneasy feeling” when she couldn’t reach him. His cause of death is not yet known, but according to the outlet, Longo struggled with alcohol abuse for years. In addition to Days of Our Lives, he also starred on Nickelodeon’s Hollywood Heights and was a singer/songwriting most known for his song “She Said.” Stephanie said in a statement, "The babies and I are absolutely devastated..Cody was our whole world, we are shattered. He was the BEST dad and BEST father. We will always and forever miss him and love him. We had a beautiful marriage and 3 beautiful babies ages 7, 5 and 1."

SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT PROVIDES UPDATE ON MISSING ACTOR JULIAN SANDS: Deadline reports that on Saturday (February 11th), a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department in Southern California provided an update on the search for missing actor Julian Sands. The Room with a View actor disappeared in the Mount Baldy region of the San Gabriel mountains a month ago. “Regarding the search for Julian Sands, we remain hopeful, but know the outcome may not be what we would like,” the spokesperson said. “Conditions on Mt Baldy remain a danger and our aviation division still patrols the area when they are available. We also plan to search the area by ground in the future.”

WATCH THE OFFICIAL TRAILER FOR ‘THE FLASH:’ On Sunday (February 12th), Warner Bros. released the official trailer for The Flash just ahead of the Super Bowl. The trailer shows Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen meeting another version of himself in the multiverse, as well as two different Batmen—played by Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton.

JOHN CENA SPOTTED IN SKIRT AND HIGH HEELS WHILE FILMING ‘RICKY STANICKY:’ TMZ reports that John Cena was photographed on the set of his upcoming comedy Ricky Stanicky in Melbourne, Australia. The photos show the Peacemaker star in a short plaid skirt, high heels, and thigh-high stockings. 

Pamela Anderson reportedly believes that Tommy Lee is still her "one true love."

Texts from the former Baywatch babe to her currently married ex recently surfaced on TikTok. In the messages, Anderson tells Lee that it was really the paparazzi that tore them apart and that she "never recovered" from their breakup.

Sources close to the former Playboy model told TMZ that she's not trying to break up his marriage. She's just trying to "express gratitude for their history."

Noah Schnapp's grandfather sent him a heartwarming message following his public coming-out on January 5th.

According to E! News, the Stranger Things star shared his grandfather's text message in a now-deleted TikTok Wednesday (February 8th).

It read, "Hey noah I became aware today of your public announcement that you are gay. just want you to know that I love you the same and I'm happy for you to be open and to be yourself. Just be proud of who and what you are. Iris and I are supportive of your honestly and ability to express your true self! Love you to the moon and back."

Schnapp told the world he was gay last month by posting a TikTok with the text, "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.'

Roseanne Barr lashed out against cancel culture in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times.

The comedian, who was fired from her sitcom, Roseanne, in 2018 after comparing White House advisor Valerie Jarrett to the offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Planet of The Apes, says she was attacked in a "witch burning."

She said, "They didn't do it to anyone else in Hollywood, although they always mention Dave Chappelle and Louis C.K.

"Well, Louis C.K. did lose everything, but he committed an actual offense. And Dave Chappelle was protected by Netflix. I'm the only person who's lost everything, whose life's work was stolen, stolen by people who I thought loved me. And there was silence. There was no one in Hollywood really defending me publicly, except for Mo'nique, who is a brave, close, dear friend."

Barr even accused her former employer, ABC, of wanting her to kill herself.

She told the outlet,""It was a witch-burning. They denied me the right to apologize. Oh my God, they just hated me so badly. I had never known that they hated me like that. They hate me because I have talent, because I have an opinion. Even though Roseanne became their No. 1 show, they'd rather not have a No. 1 show … When they killed my character off, that was a message to me – knowing that I'm mentally ill or have mental health issues – that they did want me to commit suicide."

She explained, "I know it's shocking, but I talk to my kids about drugs, and the fact that their daddy is an addict and he's in recovery, and we talk about sex."

ALEC BALDWIN FACING ANOHER 'RUST' LAWSUIT: Alec Baldwin is facing another lawsuit related to the Rust shooting of Halyna Hutchins. Deadline reports attorney Gloria Allred has filed a negligence and battery civil action on behalf of Hutchins' Ukranian-based parents and sister. Allred announced Thursday (February 9th), "We have filed a lawsuit today in Los Angeles Superior Court against Alec Baldwin, Rust producers, armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, first assistant director David Halls, and other defendants who may have been responsible for the death of Halyna Hutchins."

IDRIS ELBA FINDS LABELING HIMSELF TOO RESTRICTIVE: Idris Elba has stopped referring to himself as a Black actor because he felt the label was too restrictive. He told Esquire UK, "As humans, we are obsessed with race. And that obsession can really hinder people's aspirations, hinder people's growth. Racism should be a topic for discussion, sure. Racism is very real. But from my perspective, it's only as powerful as you allow it to be. I stopped describing myself as a Black actor when I realized it put me in a box. We've got to grow. We've got to. Our skin is no more than that: it's just skin. Rant over."

J.LO POKES FUN AT GRUMPY BEN: Jennifer Lopez poked fun at her husband's miserable Grammy appearance on social media Thursday (February 9th). The Marry Me actress shared the newly released trailer for Ben Affleck's film Air, and added the words, "MY HUSBAND'S HAPPY FACE,' at the start of the clip.

JOHN SLATTERY TO DIRECT JON HAMM AND TINA FEY IN TRUE CRIME THRILLER: Deadline reports Mad Men alum John Slattery will direct his former co-star, Jon Hamm, in Maggie Moore(s). The film reunites Hamm and his 30 Rock girlfriend Tina Fey for a true crime thriller about a small-town police chief investigating the murder of two murdered women with the same name.

EMMY AWARDS SET A DATE: The 75th annual edition of the TV awards ceremony is set for Monday, Sept. 18th on Fox. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Monday night airdate is unusual as the awards show is normally broadcast on a Sunday unless it is airing on NBC. The Peacock network normally offers a Monday night alternative because of their previous Sunday Night Football commitments.

JOHN CANDY DOCUMENTARY IS IN THE WORKS: Colin Hanks and Ryan Reynolds are working on a John Candy documentary for Amazon Prime Video. Variety reports that Hanks has been quietly directing the film, which is produced by Reynolds via his Maximum Effort production company. The documentary is being made with the full support of Candy's widow, Rose, and their two children, Jen and Chris. Hanks will utilize never-before-seen home videos, archives and interviews with the family to explore the man behind the movie star.

'DRAG RACE' TO RESUME 90-MINUTE EPISODES: RuPaul's Drag Race is returning to 90-minute episodes next month. MTV shortened the episode length to 60 minutes after the season 15 premiere. However, the show announced on it's Instagram page that it will return to its original runtime on Marcy 10th.

Melanie Lynskey clapped back and Adrianne Curry's criticism of her body on Twitter Wednesday (February 8th).

The America's Next Top Model contestant criticized Lynskey's role on The Last Of Us.

Messages obtained by Page Six show that Armie Hammer recycled the story of his alleged 2021 suicide attempt.

The Call Me By Your Name star told Air Mail that in February 2021, after he was accused of raping a woman named Effie and abusing others, he "just walked out into the ocean and swam out as far as I could and hoped that either I drowned, or was hit by a boat, or eaten by a shark."

However, Instagram DMs exchanged between Hammer and his ex, Courtney Vucekovich, in June 2020 tell nearly the exact same story.

He said that things became stressful during the Covid lockdown and, "Long story short….I swam out really far in the ocean. Too far. And immediately realized how bad things had gotten, got a therapist…got a plan to get out, but my plan was asinine."

Prosecutors in New Mexico have charged Alec Baldwin under a gun law that did not exist at the time of the fatal Rust shooting in October 2021.

Variety reports that in addition to a charge of involuntary manslaughter, the actor is facing one count of "firearm enhancement."

The enhancement carries an additional five-year penalty for discharge of a firearm in the course of a felony. However, it did not become a law until May 2022, seven months after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed.

First Judicial District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies and her appointed special prosecutor, Andrea Reeb, are reviewing the issue, said a spokeswoman for the office.

BARBARA STREISAND INSPIRES LEA MICHELE TO LEARN TO READ: Lea Michele has less than a year to learn to read. The Glee alum poked fun at the internet rumors that she's illiterate following the announcement that Barbara Streisand will release her memoir this fall. The actress posted a TikTok Wednesday (February 8th) which showed her excitedly covering her mouth in front of a photo of the Yentl star along with the caption, "265 days to learn to read." My Name Is Barbara will be published in November.

CALISTA FLOCKHARD WON'T FLY IN 'VINTAGE' PLANES WITH HARRISON FORD: Calista Flockhart won't fly in "vintage" planes with Harrison Ford anymore. The 80-year-old Indiana Jones star told The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday (February 8th) that his wife has become more cautious since his near-fatal accident in 2015. Ford said, "My wife does not fly with me in vintage airplanes anymore — she will in others." He added that the crash "was really hard on my family and it was hard on me." Ford has five children ranging from age 21 to 56.

ADAM DEVINE DISCUSSES ADAM LEVINE CHEATING RUMORS: Adam Devine recently told the Call Her Daddy podcast that he had to speak out about Adam Levine's cheating scandal because of a case of mistaken identity. The Pitch Perfect star said Wednesday (February 8th), "I was getting so many people that were just DM'ing me being like, 'How f--king dare you? 'And then then you look at their page and I'm like, 'This person does not follow me. They have no idea. They are not Workaholics fans. They have not seen my movies, they truly were a Maroon 5 fan and now hate me on accident...' I was getting legitimately hundreds of DMs."

LILY COLLINS DISCUSSES TOXIC EX: Lily Collins told the We Can Do Hard Things podcast all about her toxic ex on Wednesday (February 8th). The Emily In Paris star said, "He would call me ‘Little Lily'…and he'd use awful words about me in terms of what I was wearing and would call me a whore and all these things." 'THE DAILY SHOW' ANNOUNCES NEW GUEST HOSTS: The Daily Show has announced the next round of guest hosts. Hasan Minhaj, who previously served as a correspondent on the show, will host during the week of February 27th. He will be followed by Marlon Wayons (Week of March 6th), Kal Penn (Week of March 13th), Al Franken (Week of March 20th) and John Leguizamo (week of March 27th).

DISNEY ANNOUNCES 'TOY STORY,' 'FROZEN,' AND 'ZOOTOPIA': SEQUELS: Disney CEO Bob Iger announced during a Q1 earnings call Wednesday (Feb. 8th) that sequels to Toy Story, Frozen and Zootopia are all in the works. According to Deadline he said, "We'll have more to share about these productions soon, but this is a great example of how we're leaning into our unrivaled brands and franchises."

CBS ORDERS PILOT FROM DAMON WAYANS AND SON: CBS has ordered a pilot for an unnamed family comedy starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. TVLine reports that the multicamera comedy was put into development in October. The official logline says the potential series is about a "We'll have more to share about these productions soon, but this is a great example of how we're leaning into our unrivaled brands and franchises."

JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS TO LAUNCH PODCAST: Julia Louis-Dreyfus is dropping her first podcast this spring. Variety reports that the 10-episode series, Wiser Than Me, will feature "candid, witty conversations" with women over the age of 70 such as guests Jane Fonda, Isabel AllendeRuth Reichl, and Fran Lebowitz.

Leonardo DiCaprio has been the butt of many jokes when it comes to his dating life—since the Don't Look Up actor seems to only date women under the age of 25. But his latest alleged romance has some calling him a "sexual predator."

DiCaprio was spotted with 19-year-old model Eden Polani at an EP launch party for singer Ebony Riley recently, and people took to Twitter in droves to comment on the situation. "Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend is so young her high school experience was interrupted by COVID 19," one person wrote.

Another compared Polani's age to Kate Winslet's in the 1997 movie Titanic: "Kate Winslet was 22 when she was nominated for an Oscar for Titanic. Which is 3 years older than Leonardo DiCaprio's current girlfriend."

Others aren't finding his dating patterns funny at all. "at this point I can't even join in on the jokes anymore, if leonardo dicaprio is approaching 50 and dating a teenager, then he is an actual sexual predator let's be clear," one person tweeted.

A source close to the pair told The New York Post Tuesday (February 7th) that there was "absolutely no truth" to the romance rumors.

Pamela Anderson spoke with ET Canada about Tim Allen denying that he flashed his penis at her on the set of Home Improvement in 1991. Recounting her story once again, she asked, "How could you make that up?"

The Baywatch actress said Allen "ran back into his room" after flashing her and that he was "embarrassed all day and acting like a little giddy schoolboy." Allen has repeatedly denied the accusations, even telling The Daily Mail recently, "Everybody at ABC is a little disappointed in her memory."

On Monday's (February 6th) episode of the Chicks in the Office podcast, Ashton Kutcher commented on his red-carpet photos with Reese Witherspoon, while the pair were promoting their new movie Your Place Or Mine. Fans had a good laugh at how awkward they looked together.

"Here's the thing: If I put my arm around her and was, like, all friendly with her, I'd be having an affair with her," Kutcher said. "If I stand next to her and I put my hands in my pockets, so there's no chance that, like, that could be the rumor, the rumor is we don't like each other."

Michelle Yeoh is getting real about aging as an actress in Hollywood.

"You know, as you get older, the roles get smaller," she said on The Los Angeles Times' The Envelope podcast recently. "It seems like the numbers go up and these things go narrow and then you start getting relegated to the side more and more."

SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS WILL PROBABLY BE CHRISTINA APPLEGATE'S ‘LAST AWARDS SHOW AS AN ACTOR:' Christina Applegate is looking forward to the Screen Actors Guild Awards later this month, but she told the Los Angeles Times in an interview published Tuesday (February 7th), "It's my last awards show as an actor probably, so it's kind of a big deal." The Dead to Me actress revealed that she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, and she spoke with the outlet about how that's affected her acting career. AUDRA MCDONALD AND MYLES FROST JOIN THE CAST OF AVA DUVERNAY'S ‘CASTE:' According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tony-award winners Audra McDonald and Myles Frost are the latest actors to join Ava DuVernay's film adaptation of Caste, based on the book by Isabel Wilkerson. They join King Richard actress Aunjanue Ellis, who is set to play the lead, as well as Niecy Nash, Nick Offerman, Jasmine Cephas Jones, and Jon Bernthal.

ANTHONY HOPKINS AND GLEN POWELL TO STAR IN ‘LOCKED:' Deadline reports that Anthony Hopkins and Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell are both set to star in a remake of the Argentinian action thriller 4X4, titled Locked. David Yarovesky will be directing the film, which the outlet writes is "an intense, character-driven thriller about a thief who breaks into a luxury SUV, only to realize that he's stumbled into a complex and deadly trap."
