Chelsea Handler claims she didn't realize she'd been put on Ozempic just to lose a few pounds.

The comedian told the Call Her Daddy podcast Wednesday (January 24th) that her anti-aging doctor "just hands" the diabetes drug "out to anybody…to drop five pounds."

She said she had no idea what she was on until she had lunch with a friend who was taking the drug and experiencing similar symptoms, such as nausea.

Mike and Lauren Sorrentino announced the arrival of their second child on Wednesday (January 25th).

The 95th annual Academy Award nominations were announced on Tuesday (January 24th), and Everything Everywhere All at Once took the lead with 11 nods. The Banshees of Inisherin and All Quiet on the Western Front followed close behind with nine nods each. All three films are nominated for Best Picture, alongside big box office hits like Avatar: The Way of Water and Top Gun: Maverick.

Variety reports that this year's lineup is historic for Asian actors, who received more nominations in 2023 than any year prior. Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Stephanie Hsu were all nominated for their roles in Everything Everywhere All at Once, while Hong Chau was nominated for her role in The Whale.

However, as no Black actors were nominated in the lead acting categories and no women were nominated for Best Director, some are criticizing the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences over a lack of diversity. Till director Chinonye Chukwu wrote on Instagram Tuesday (January 24th): "We live in a world and work in industries that are so aggressively committed to upholding whiteness and perpetuating an unabashed misogyny towards Black women."

Two of the biggest snubs this year include Viola Davis in The Woman King and Danielle Deadwyler in Till. Other snubs include Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick and Brad Pitt in Babylon.

Those celebrating include Brendan Fraser, who received his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor in The Whale, and Austin Butler for his role in Elvis. Butler dedicated his nomination to Lisa Marie Presley. Angela Bassett also celebrated her nod for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as did Jamie Lee Curtis for Everything Everywhere All at Once.

On Monday night (January 23rd), Priscilla Presley took to Twitter to thank everyone for their support, following her late daughter Lisa Marie Presley's memorial service at Graceland on Sunday (January 22nd). This marks Priscilla's first social media post since Lisa Marie passed away on January 12th.

"Thank you all for your condolences," the Dallas actress wrote. "You have touched me with your words. It has been a very difficult time but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference."

At the service, Priscilla shared a poem written by one of her granddaughters. The poem read, in part, "In 1968 she entered our world, born fragile, tired, yet strong. She was delicate, but was filled with life. She always knew she wouldn't be here too long." Later, Priscilla added, "Our heart is broken, Lisa, and we all love you."

Following this, on Tuesday (January 24th), Lisa Marie's daughter Riley Keough shared a photo to Instagram from the last time she saw her mother. "I feel blessed to have a photo of the last time I saw my beautiful mama. Grateful @georgieflores took this," she wrote.

Shortly after Pamela Anderson claimed that Tim Allen flashed his penis at her on the set of Home Improvement in 1991, a video resurfaced showing Allen flashing his Home Improvement costar, Patricia Richardson.

In a blooper with his onscreen wife, played by Richardson, Allen is wearing a kilt. Richardson jokes about the garment, "Hangs long, I just wish it was shorter." Following this, Allen lifts the kilt—much to the surprise of Richardson.

‘AIR' GETS RELEASE DATE: Variety reports that the movie Air, directed by Ben Affleck, is set to hit theaters on April 5th. The film is about the partnership between Nike and Michael Jordan, and it is the first movie produced by Affleck and Matt Damon's new production company, Artists Equity.

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL JURORS WALK OUT OF ‘MAGAZINE DREAMS:' According to People, the Sundance Film Festival premiere of Magazine Dreams was "not accessible" to one of the festival's jurors, Marlee Matlin, who has been deaf since she was 18 months old. When the CODA actress was given a captioning device that didn't work, she and the other two members of the jury for Sundance's U.S. Dramatic Competition, Jeremy O. Harris and Eliza Hittman, walked out of the screening. "The U.S. independent cinema movement began as a way to make film accessible to everyone, not just those with the most privileges among us. As a jury our ability to celebrate the work that all of you have put into making these films has been disrupted by the fact that they are not accessible to all three of us," the trio wrote in a letter to filmmakers at the festival on Friday (January 20th). The device has since been repaired and the jurors will be screening Magazine Dreams "as a group" before the festival ends.

‘GIRLS TRIP' SEQUEL IS ‘OFFICIALLY HAPPENING:' Variety reports that there will in fact be a Girls Trip 2, featuring the original cast. Tracy Oliver, who co-wrote the first film, told the outlet that she had a "definitive ‘Girls Trip 2' update" while at the Sundance Film Festival. "It's officially happening," she said. "I can say that." Oliver added that they're "looking to set it in Ghana."

On Sunday (January 22nd), Variety published an exclusive excerpt from Pamela Anderson's forthcoming memoir titled Love, Pamela. In the book, the Baywatch actress writes that Tim Allen exposed himself to her on the set of Home Improvement in 1991, when she was 23 years old.

"On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe," she wrote. "He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we're even. I laughed uncomfortably."

Allen denied the accusation in a statement. "No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing," he said.

Jeremy Renner is sharing more details about the injury he suffered on New Year's Day. Sharing a photo of himself receiving physical therapy in a hospital bed at home, Renner wrote that he had suffered "30 plus broken bones."

"Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love," the Hawkeye actor captioned the post. Renner's Avengers costar Chris Evans commented on his update, "That's one tough mf'er. Has anyone even checked on the snowcat??? Sending so much love." The Mayor of Kingstown star replied, "Love you brother…. I did check on the snow cat , she needs fuel."

Nearly a year after giving birth, Kylie Jenner revealed what she and Travis Scott named their son. Sharing photos of his face to Instagram for the first time, Jenner wrote "AIRE," in the caption.

Her mother, Kris Jenner, commented on the post, "I love you Aire Webster." People reports that the name means "Lion of God." Kylie and Travis originally named their son Wolf Jacques but later shared that he "isn't Wolf anymore."

The Kardashians star clarified how to pronounce the name, after the Instagram account @kyliesnapchat captioned a video, "Do you think it's pronounced air or airey?" Kylie commented, "AIR," and added a red heart emoji.

Regina King posted an emotional tribute to Instagram on Friday (January 20th) in honor of her late son, Ian Alexander Jr., who passed away at the age of 26 last year. Ian died from suicide just two days after his birthday. This marks King's first social media post since the tragedy occurred.

The Watchmen actress shared a video of an orange lantern floating into the sky and wrote, "January 19th is Ian's Worthday. As we still process his physical absence, we celebrate his presence. We are all in different places on the planet…so is Ian. His spirit is the thread that connects us."

The domestic box office is seeing a successful start to the new year, pulling in an estimated $514.7M from January 1st to January 22nd—thanks in large part to Avatar: The Way of Water. Deadline reports that this is almost 40% higher than last year's box office count, which saw $370M during the same time period.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish climbed the chart over the weekend, taking second place from M3GAN, which landed in fourth behind Missing. Puss in Boots 2 brought in $11.5 million and is said to be mirroring Sing 2 from last year.

While wearing a sweatshirt that read, "EMPATHY," Hilaria told the paparazzi, "I'm going to tell you what I'm going to say, you're not going to ask me questions. I want you guys to realize we have seven kids, and you being here to escort them to school and to be there when they come home is not good." VANESSA HUDGENS COMMENTS ON AUSTIN BUTLER STILL USING HIS ‘ELVIS' ACCENT: Austin Butler's ex-girlfriend of eight years, Vanessa Hudgens, recently commented on a post that made fun of the Elvis actor for continuing to use his accent from the movie. According to Entertainment Tonight, Butler's voice coach recently said the accent is "genuine" and that it might "last forever." When an Instagram user shared a screenshot of these quotes and wrote, "He went to the Lady Gaga school of Oscar campaign acting," the High School Musical actress commented, "Crying." This comes after Butler failed to credit Hudgens for reportedly inspiring him to play the role of Elvis.

GABRIELLE UNION RESPONDS TO BACKLASH REGARDING INFIDELITY COMMENTS: Gabrielle Union is addressing the backlash she's received for saying she felt "entitled" to cheat on her former husband, Chris Howard, on a recent episode of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast. Alec Baldwin's lawyer is calling the new charges filed against the actor "a terrible miscarriage of justice."

On Thursday (January 19th) the New Mexico District Attorney's office filed two involuntary manslaughter charges against the actor and Rust armorer Hannah Guiterrez Reed in the shooting death of Halyna Huthins.

Attorney Luke Nikas told NBC News, "This decision distorts Halyna Hutchins' tragic death. Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun—or anywhere on the movie set. He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds. We will fight these charges, and we will win."

Gutierrez-Reed's attorney, Jason Bowles, also gave a statement to the outlet, stating that his client "did not commit involuntary manslaughter" and they intend "to bring the full truth to light and believe Hannah will be exonerated of wrongdoing by a jury."

Hutchins was shot when Baldwin discharged a "prop firearm" while shooting Rust in New Mexico in October 2021. Hutchins, the film's director of photography was struck and killed, while director Joel Souza was wounded during the incident.
