On Sunday (July 24th), Twitter user Melinda Eg started a discussion about colorism in Hollywood by comparing Palmer's career to that of Zendaya's. "I'd like someone to do a deep-drive on the similarities and differences between Keke Palmer and Zendaya's careers. This may be one of the clearest examples of how colorism plays out in Hollywood. They were both child-stars, but their mainstream popularity is very different," Eg wrote.

Many people commented in response, but Palmer made it clear that she wasn't interested in this approach. "A great example of colorism is to believe I can be compared to anyone. I'm the youngest talk show host ever. The first Black woman to star in her own show on Nickelodeon, & the youngest & first Black Cinderella on Broadway. I'm an incomparable talent. Baby, THIS, is Keke Palmer," she wrote.

The Alice actress added, "I've been a leading lady since I was 11 years old. I have over 100+ credits, and currently starring in an original screenplay that's the number one film at the box office #NOPE. I've had a blessed career thus far, I couldn't ask for more but God continues to surprise me."

‘FULL FRONTAL WITH SAMANTHA BEE' IS CANCELLED AFTER SEVEN SEASONS: Deadline reports that TBS is saying goodbye to Full Frontal with Samantha Bee after seven seasons. A spokesperson for TBS told the outlet, "As we continue to shape our new programming strategy, we've made some difficult, business-based decisions. Full Frontal With Samantha Bee will not return to TBS. We are proud to have been the home to Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and thank Sam, and the rest of the Emmy-nominated team for their groundbreaking work. WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘TILL:' Entertainment Tonight reports that the trailer for the biopic Till was released on Monday (July 25th). The film follows Mamie Till Mobley as she seeks justice for the lynching of her 14-year-old son, Emmett Till, in 1955. The cast includes Jalyn Hall as Emmett Till, Whoopi Goldberg as his grandmother, Alma Carthan, and Danielle Deadwyler as his mother, Mamie Till Mobley.

KEN JENNINGS AND MAYIM BIALIK WILL BOTH CONTINUE TO CO-HOST ‘JEOPARDY!': According to TVLine, the search for Alex Trebek's permanent replacement appears to be over. Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik, who have both been guest hosting Jeopardy!, are set to continue co-hosting the show for its 39th season.

Jennifer Lopez is living her best life. Following her wedding in Las Vegas last week, the Marry Me actress announced the arrival of JLo Body by JLo Beauty on her 53rd birthday Sunday (July 24th). To promote the new line, she highlighted some of her "assets" with a nude photoshoot.

The Hustlers actress told People, "We already have some amazing products targeting tightening and firming for the face, so a product for the body that addressed those same issues was a natural next step for us." Her debut body product is a "Booty Balm." She added, "It was also the body part that our consumers wanted a targeted treatment for, and they couldn't find it on the market."

Lopez said she hopes her new line will encourage people to take better care of their bodies. "A lot of people invest in skincare for their face, but they don't invest in self-care and skincare for their body. I don't necessarily mean spending money, but instead taking time to cleanse, moisturize, use serums and masks. I want to normalize taking care of yourself. It's not a selfish thing. Jason Momoa got in a scary accident over the weekend. TMZ reports that the Game of Thrones star was driving along Old Topanga Canyon Road on Sunday (July 24th), near the Calabasas area, when a motorcyclist driving in the opposite direction hit his car head-on.

Law enforcement officials told the outlet that the Aquaman actor was going around a curve when the motorcyclist crossed over into his lane, hitting the front, left-hand side of Momoa's Oldsmobile muscle car.

The rider then reportedly flew off the bike, hitting the Dune actor's windshield and landing on the other side of his car. Fortunately, the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital following the accident. Momoa is also "fine."

Kate Moss appeared on the BBC radio show Desert Island Discs recently and commented on her involvement in Johnny Depp's defamation trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

The model brought up her friend, John Galliano, who was found guilty of anti-Semitic abuse in 2011, when asked why she testified in support of Depp.

"I believe in the truth, and I believe in fairness and justice. I know that John Galliano is not a bad person – he had an alcohol problem and people turn. People aren't themselves when they drink, and they say things that they would never say if they were sober," she said.

Moss, who was in a relationship with Depp between 1994 and 1998, added, "I know the truth about Johnny Depp. I know he never kicked me down the stairs. I had to say that truth."

A meme was born when Nope actress Keke Palmer revealed she didn't know who Dick Cheney was during an interview with Vanity Fair in 2019. On Friday (July 22nd), Vanity Fair published a new interview with the Alice actress, in which she shared that she still doesn't know who he is.

"Everybody was like, 'It was Dick Cheney!' And I'm like, still means nothing," she said. "The way people were coming up to me, telling me who he was, it seemed like he wasn't worth me doing the research on."

JAMES CAAN'S CAUSE OF DEATH IS REVEALED: According to documents obtained by TMZ, The Godfather actor James Caan died from a heart attack and coronary artery disease. Caan also suffered from COPD, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The Elf actor passed away on July 6th at 82 years old.

BEN AFFLECK NODS OFF WHILE HONEYMOONING IN PARIS: It's been an eventful time for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, and it seems the Gone Girl star just needed a little shut-eye while vacationing in Paris. Page Six reports that Affleck dozed off while on a tourist cruise of the Seine River, following his wedding with Lopez in Las Vegas last week. In the photos, Affleck can be seen sitting in a chair with his feet up, his head back, and his mouth open.

LUPITA NYONG'O EATS FRUIT COVERED WITH ANTS: Black Panther actress Lupita Nyong'o posted a video of herself eating a piece of fruit covered with ants to Instagram on Friday (July 22nd). WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘WAKANDA FOREVER:' According to Today, Marvel released the first teaser for the Black Panther sequel Wakanda Forever on Saturday (July 23rd). The new film stands as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who starred as King T'Challa in the 2018 film—and who passed away from colon cancer in 2020. In the two-minute teaser, a mural of T'Challa can be seen, as Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) says in an emotional speech, "I am queen of the most powerful nation in the world and now my entire family is gone. THE TRAILER FOR ‘THE SANDMAN' IS RELEASED: The AV Club reports that the trailer for the long-awaited TV series The Sandman, based on the comic book series by Neil Gaiman, dropped on Saturday (July 24th) at Comic-Con. Tom Sturridge and Kirby Howell-Baptiste star in the Netflix series.

SEE KEANU REEVES IN THE TRAILER FOR ‘JOHN WICK 4:' Variety reports that Keanu Reeves surprised fans at the San Diego Comic-Con Friday night (July 22nd) to debut footage from John Wick 4. The Matrix star crashed the Collider's Directors on Directing panel, where director Chad Stahelski was a panelist.

‘NAKED AND AFRAID' CONTESTANT MELANIE RAUSCHER DIES AT 35: Deadline reports that Melanie Rauscher, who appeared on two seasons of Naked and Afraid, was found dead on July 17th in Prescott, Arizona. Rauscher reportedly died in a guest room at a home where she was dog sitting. No foul play or drug use is suspected. The 35-year-old reality star did not leave a suicide note, and the dog she was caring for was unharmed.

Nearly two months after a Virginia jury ruled in favor of Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has officially informed the court that she plans to appeal the verdict.

"Please take notice that Defendant and Counterclaim Plaintiff Amber Laura Heard, pursuant to Rule 5:9 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Virginia, hereby gives Notice of her Appeal to the Virginia Court of Appeals from this Court's June 24, 2022 Final Judgment Order, the July 13, 2022 Order on Defendant and Counterclaim Plaintiff Amber Laura Beard's Post-Trial Motions ("Post-Trial Motions Order"), and from all additional Orders and rulings by the Trial Court prior to the entry of the Final Judgment Order and Post-Trial Motions Order," a three-page filing reads.

Heard has not yet paid the $8.3 million bond required in order to conduct the appeal. While the full amount will be required down the line, the Aquaman actress was only required to pay $500 to begin the process on Thursday (July 21st).

A spokesperson for Heard said, "We believe the court made errors that prevented a just and fair verdict consistent with the First Amendment. We are therefore appealing the verdict. While we realize today's filing will ignite the Twitter bonfires, there are steps we need to take to ensure both fairness and justice."

Alicia Silverstone opened up about her unusual parenting practices on a recent episode of The Ellen Fisher Podcast. The Clueless star shared that she and her 11-year-old son, Bear, still sleep together at night.

"Bear and I still sleep together," Silverstone said. "I'll be in trouble for saying that, but I really don't care."

The Crush actress explained that her parenting style is "following nature."

Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson couldn't resist doing the viral "tortilla challenge" together. On Wednesday (July 20th), both stars posted a video to their respective Instagram accounts, showing them engaged in the standoff.

U2 will be spotlighted at this year's Kennedy Center Honors.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced Thursday (7-21) that the 22-time Grammy winners, along with actor George Clooney, singers Gladys Knight and Amy Grant and composer Tania León will be honored in December.

It's a rare occasion that a band is among the honorees… Though U2 is in the company with Earth, Wind & Fire, they were the most recent group, that was in 2019. The Eagles were honored in 2016 and Led Zeppelin in 2012.

Kennedy Center President Deborah F. Rutter said she was told that U2 frontman Bono was eating and was so surprised that he dropped his fork when he was told the band had been selected for this lifetime achievement award.

This is the 45th year of the honors, which will include a gala performance Dec. 4 in Washington featuring top entertainers. The show will be broadcast on CBS at a later date.

SHONKA DUKUREH DIES AT 44: People reports that Elvis actress and singer Shonka Dukureh was found dead in her Nashville apartment on Thursday (July 21st). One of Dukureh's two young children found her unresponsive in a bedroom and rushed to a neighbor's. No foul play is suspected. Dukureh starred as Big Mama Thornton in the Elvis biopic. The 44-year-old was a celebrated gospel singer, and her acting career was just beginning.

SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR TO STAR IN AND EXECUITVE PRODUCE ‘WOLF PACK:' Deadline reports that Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to star in and executive produce the Paramount+ Teen Wolf spinoff Wolf Pack. The news was announced at the Teen Wolf: The Movie panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday (July 21st), where Gellar made a surprise appearance.

Dave Chappelle's Wednesday (July 20th) night show in Minneapolis was cancelled at the last minute in response to his perceived transphobic remarks.

The First Avenue theater pulled out of the sold-out show, writing on Instagram, "To staff, artists, and our community, we hear you and we are sorry. We know we must hold ourselves to the highest standards and we know we let you down."

Instead, the show took place at Varsity Theater, where he was previously scheduled to perform on July 21st and 22nd.

According to Deadline, tickets for Chappelle's First Avenue gig were suddenly released on July 18th and were scooped up within minutes for the 1,550 main room capacity facility.

Keleigh Sperry was not a fan of husband Miles Teller's Top Gun mustache.

Eyewitnesses to Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's Las Vegas wedding say that the ceremony was emotional. According to A Little White Wedding Chapel coordinator Kenosha Booth, "It was beautiful. Some tears were shed by them both."

Booth also relayed that the venue played "Here Comes the Bride" over a Bluetooth speaker as Lopez walked down the aisle. At the altar, the Marry Me actress and the Argo actor exchanged vows and wedding bands.

Lopez's child Emme and one of Affleck's three children attended the ceremony, along with Lopez's hairstylist, Chris Appleton. Another chapel source told People that the couple "wanted it to be very simple," and that they were "very excited."
