More than two weeks after Johnny Depp finished testifying in his defamation trial against Amber Heard, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor will reportedly be returning to the stand on Monday (May 23rd).

According to Deadline, Depp is expected to be called as a witness for Heard's defense, in a daring move by the Aquaman actress' legal team.

It is anticipated that the defense will rest their case by the end of the week as well. Judge Penney Azcarte previously said she wants to hear closing arguments on Friday (May 27th).

VIOLA DAVIS SAYS A DIRECTOR ONCE CALLED HER BY HIS MAID'S NAME: According to The New York Post, Viola Davis recently shared that a director she knew for 10 years once called her by his maid's name. Bruce Willis' wife is struggling to take care of her family in the wake of his aphasia diagnosis.

In a recent interview with The Bump, Emma Heming Willis shared, "I put my family's needs above my own, which I found does not make me any kind of hero. Ellen Barkin spoke out on behalf of Amber Heard via video deposition on Thursday (May 19th).

The Animal Kingdom star told the court that her ex-boyfriend and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas costar, Johnny Depp, was "a jealous man, controlling" and added, "He was always drinking and smoking a joint."

The Tony Award winner also detailed the time he threw a bottle across a hotel room while they were working on a film in 1998.

Barkin testified, "Mr. Depp threw a wine bottle across the hotel room in Las Vegas while we were shooting Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas." She said it was "tossed" towards her and others during "a fight" but it didn't hit anyone.

Reuters reported that Depp previously called the claim untrue and added that Barkin held a grudge against him.

Rebel Wilson recently revealed to People that a co-star sexually harassed her prior to the #MeToo movement.

She told the outlet that several years ago, an unnamed male costar called her into a room, pulled down his pants, and asked her to perform a lewd act as his friends looked on.

'RIVERDALE' TO CONCLUDE WITH SEASON 7: Riverdale will end its run on The CW at the conclusion of it's upcoming seventh season. According to Deadline, series star KJ Apa addressed the crowd at the CW upfronts, saying "I'm sad to be saying goodbye to Riverdale next season, to our sets, to our crew, to our producers, to our CW family but I can speak for everyone, for Cammy, Cole, Lili and the rest of our cast that we are so grateful for everyone's support. 'JERSEY SHORE' CAST SPEAKS OUT AGAINST REBOOT: The original cast of Jersey Shore is speaking out against MTV's forthcoming reboot, Jersey Shore 2.0. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, JWoww, Pauly D and Angelina Pivarnick tweeted a collective statement Thursday (May 19th) that read, "As a cast took a chance with a network in need, we put our most vulnerable moments on television for the world to see. Amber Heard's sister took the stand Wednesday (May 18th) and revealed that Johnny Depp struck her during an argument with the actress.

Whitney Henriquez testified that in March 2015, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor hit her in the back. She told jurors, "I'm standing on the top of the stairs, with my back to the stairs, and that's when Johnny runs up the stairs. He comes up behind me and strikes me in the back…I hear Amber shout, ‘Don't hit my f—king sister.'"

Heard allegedly smacked Depp in retaliation and Henriquez claimed he then "grabbed Amber by the hair with one hand and was whacking her repeatedly in the face with the other."

Depp denied hitting Amber in prior testimony.

Jennifer Lopez was devastated after she failed to get an Oscar nomination for the film Hustlers.

A new trailer for the Netflix documentary series, Halftime shows the actress sobbing in bed after being overlooked by The Academy.

In a voiceover she can be heard saying, "It was hard. I just had very low self-esteem. I had to really figure out who I was and believe in that and not believe in anything else."

Halftime will be available to stream June 14th on Netflix.

Mindy Kaling is the new Velma and she doesn't care what you think about it.

The Mindy Project actress stars in the new animated Scooby Doo spinoff, Velma, on HBO Max and told a crowd at the Warner Bros Discovery Upfront presentation that if a dog can solve crimes, Velma "can be brown."

Deadline reports that she told the audience, "Hopefully you noticed my Velma is South Asian. If people freak out about that, I don't care."

After the animated show was announced in 2021, Twitter blew up with openly racist complaints about the project, with some pointing out how making Velma into a studious Asian nerd plays into stereotypes.

Her representative, Kyle Luker of Industry Entertainment, told The Hollywood Reporter that the Daytime Emmy-nominated actress died Tuesday (May 18th) in Bloomfield, New Jersey, after being diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in 2020.

During Amber Heard's final day on the stand Tuesday (May 17th), the Aquaman actress said Johnny Depp can't look at her "because he's guilty."

Heard's attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, asked Heard why she told Depp's lawyer, Camille Vasquez, that she knew Depp couldn't look her in the eyes.

"Because he's guilty. He knows he's lying. Otherwise, why can't he look at me? I survived that man and I'm here, and I'm able to look at him," Heard said.

Depp seemed to find this response amusing, as he leaned over to say something to one of his lawyers and then laughed.

On Tuesday (May 17th), Bob Saget's friends and family paid tribute to the late actor on what would have been his 66th birthday.

Saget's wife, Kelly Rizzo, posted photos of the Full House star from a trip to Mexico last year. "Happy birthday my Love. These pictures and videos were taken exactly 1 year ago in Mexico. We always celebrated our birthdays together with a trip. (His is the 17th and mine is 19th)," she wrote.

Rizzo continued, "This last trip was so special. We both celebrated each other so big. You never know when something is going to be ‘the last' time. Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney is in some legal trouble. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Sweeney is being sued by the swim and lifestyle brand LA Collective for not honoring an agreement.

Sweeney reportedly broke a contract stating that she would model and promote swimsuits for the company. Last year, LA Collective says, she signed on to be their influencer for their "Somewhere Swimwear" line.

The brand claims The White Lotus actress approved their designs and prototypes, but then she suddenly dropped out on the deal without explanation. LA Collective also accused Sweeney of wearing the swimsuits on at least five episodes of Euphoria.

Samuel L. Jackson thought he was banned from Saturday Night Live for saying "f—" on air, but it turns out that's not the case. On a recent episode of the Awardist podcast, the Pulp Fiction actor said he confronted Lorne Michaels about this in New York City.

"Are you ever gonna let me back on the show?" Jackson said he asked Michaels. It's been 10 years since the Snakes on a Plane actor last appeared on SNL, and apparently Michaels told Jaskson he is welcome back to the set.

In March, Jackson told Leslie Jones on The Ellen DeGeneres Show why he thought he was banned. "Kenan Thompson got me banned from Saturday Night Live. He didn't cut me off soon enough and I said the forbidden word on television," he said.

In her new book Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up, Cruel Intentions actress Selma Blair confesses that she has in fact sunk her teeth into multiple celebrities. Blair goes on to detail how she ended up biting Sienna Miller, Seth MacFarlane, and Kate Moss.

Blair shares that she introduced herself to Sienna Miller at the Chateau Marmont one night, following her divorce from Ahmet Zappa in 2006. "I couldn‘t begrudge her for any part she was winning over me. So, I grabbed her arm and bit it, playfully, as if it were an apple. Even as I held her forearm in my mouth I was aghast at myself. I thought, What have I gotten myself into? Or her? This is horrible behavior," she wrote.

Apparently, Miller screamed, "Opa!" and then said, "You bit me, didn't you? You really did." Blair added that Miller "didn't shame" her. "For this, in my book, she will forever be the belle of the ball," she added.
