Mickey Rourke is retiring his skateboard.

The 69-year-old star of the Wrestler posted a selfie on Instagram Tuesday (April 5th) showing a bloody gash on his forehead. The actor wrote in the caption, "Looks like my skateboarding days are over."

It is unclear if he was skateboarding for a film role or for fun at the time of his injury.

According to IMDB, he is cast in three films that are currently shooting: Jade, Replica and Murder at Hollow Creek.

JENNA MALONE CHASES MAN WHO ABUSED DOG: Jenna Malone was shown in a news segment on NBC 4 Los Angeles Tuesday (April 5th) about a group of strangers who chased down and beat up a man who they witnessed physically abusing a small dog. The Hunger Games actress told the outlet, "I pulled over and started chasing him because that's absolutely not okay." Malone did not aid the men who beat up the unidentified abuse who said they were "conducting a citizen's arrest."

KARLIE KLOSS TEARS UP DISCUSSING HER SON: Karlie Kloss got choked up discussing her bond with son Levi on Today Wednesday (April 6th). The model's voice cracked as she told Hoda Kotb, "I just had this moment of like ‘Wow, every woman who has a child, every parent goes through this. BOB ODENKIRK BOOKS HIS NEXT SERIES: Bob Odenkirk is sticking with AMC following the conclusion of Better Call Saul. TVLine reports that his next series will be Straight Man, a dramedy that is in fast-tack development for the cable network. The show is a "mid-life crisis tale" based on the novel by Richard Russo.

THE ACADEMY MOVES UP WILL SMITH'S HEARING: The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announced Wednesday (April 6th) that they will be moving up their annual meeting by ten days to address sanctions for Will Smith's infamous Oscar slap. According to a letter from AMPAS president David Rubin to the Board of Governors that the originally scheduled April 18th meeting will now take place on the 8th.

EMMY AWARDS TO AIR ON SEPT. 12TH: The Emmys are set for 2022. The Television Academy and NBC said Wednesday (April 6th) that the 74th annual awards show will air live coast-to-coast on Monday, September 12th. Nominations for the 74th Emmy Awards will be announced July 12th.

KATE WALSH TO RETURN TO 'GREY'S ANATOMY': Grey's Anatomy announced Wednesday (April 6th) that Kate Walsh will return to the medical drama on May 5th. The Umbrella Academy actress confirmed the news by posting an Instagram video of her in costume, writing, "I'm back in uniform and that can only mean one thing…#GreysAnatomy Thursday, May 5th!"

After attending the 64th annual Grammy Awards together, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker snuck off and got married in Las Vegas. The pair were reportedly wed at a Las Vegas chapel at 1:30 a.m. local time on Monday (April 4th).

However, a source exclusively told Page Six that the ceremony was not legally binding. Sources say there will be "several" celebrations to come, and that this won't be their only wedding.

Apparently, the famous couple did not allow the venue to take pictures, but they brought their own photographer and security along with them. It's also reported that Kardashian and Barker requested an Elvis impersonator to officiate the wedding.

The secret's out … Christina Haack and Josh Hall are married! TMZ reports the pair got hitched in California "sometime over the last 6 months." On Haack's real estate license, she appears to have changed her last name to Hall as well.

The couple have been dating for a year, and they announced the news of their engagement in September 2021.

When Haack first opened up about dating Hall last year, she wrote that she felt protective over their relationship—which could explain the secret marriage.

"I felt immediately crazy protective over him and wanted to keep him for myself and get to know each other before the tornado (media attention) hit. We've had a few solid months of just us getting to know each other and I've loved every second of it," she wrote in an Instagram post.

Former child actor Cole Sprouse shared his experience with The New York Times on Monday (April 4th), speaking candidly on what it means to be a childhood star and highlighting how it's different for "young women."

The Suite Life of Zack & Cody actor said, "My brother and I used to get quite a bit of, 'Oh, you made it out! Oh, you're unscathed!' After Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 94th annual Academy Awards, his talent agency reportedly thought about letting him go.

According to Page Six, a leadership retreat at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes held by Smith's agency, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), became the site of a debate as to whether or not to hold onto Smith as a client. Apparently, CAA is in the process of acquiring ICM, the agency that represents Chris Rock, so the company was at a crossroads.

However, Richard Lovett, who represents Smith, didn't want to lose the King Richard star. Lovett was even described as "frazzled" while the agency discussed the matter.

Meanwhile, a CAA spokesperson claimed "there is no truth" to these rumors.

MATT MCGORRY POSTS TOUCHING TRIBUTE TO HIS LATE FATHER: On Tuesday (April 5th), How to Get Away with Murder star Matt McGorry posted to Instagram in honor of his father, who passed away on April 1st. "Less than two months ago, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (one of the most deadly) and was told he had months to live. I am eternally grateful that I had a chance to say goodbye. That he wasn't in pain in the last few weeks, that he looked back on his life with deep gratitude & made peace with death," McGorry wrote. VANESSA LACHEY SAYS SHE GAVE NICK LACHEY A MARRIAGE ULTIMATUM: According to Today, Vanessa Lachey admitted that she gave her husband a marriage ultimatum on the new series Ultimatum, which she and Nick Lachey host together. "I always said I was going to be that girl that would never give a man an ultimatum," but, she added, "We dated for five years. So I finally said, ‘What are we doing?'" Martha Stewart is mourning the loss of her cat, Princess Peony, who was tragically killed by Stewart's four dogs recently. The Martha Bakes host posted a photo of Princess Peony's burial to Instagram on Sunday (April 3rd).

"burying the beautiful and unusual Princess Peony. the four dogs mistook her for an interloper and killed her defenseless little self. i will miss her very badly . RIP beauty," she wrote.

Princess Peony celebrated her 12th birthday last year. In a follow-up post, Stewart shared a photo of the beloved cat.

FKA TWIGS TO STAR IN THE CROW REBOOT: According to The Hollywood Reporter, singer-songwriter FKA Twigs is set to star in Rupert Sanders' reboot of The Crow, "a supernatural revenge thriller." The original film came out in the 1990s, and features a man who was resurrected by a crow in order to take revenge on those who killed him and his fiancée.

CRAIG GILLESPIE WILL DIRECT GAMESTOP FEATURE: Deadline reports that Pam & Tommy director Craig Gillespie has found his next project. Gillespie will direct MGM's feature adaptation of Ben Mezrich's The Antisocial Network. The book documents the 2021 revival of video game retailer GameStop by "amateur investors, gamers and Internet trolls."

Jon Batiste had a great evening on music's biggest night, the Grammy Awards. Going into the show as the most nominated artist with 11 nods, he walked out with 5. Honored with one of the most coveted of the night, Album of The Year, plus he picked up Best American Roots Performance, American Roots Song, Best Music Video and he tied with Carlos Rafael Rivera for Best Song Written For Visual Media.

Silk Sonic grooved their way to the stage when announced winners of Record of The Year for "Leave The Door Open." Alongside Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak said "In the industry, we call that a clean sweep. Drinks are on Silk Sonic tonight." They also won, Best R&B Performance and Song of The Year.

For 19 year old, Olivia Rodrigo, she went home with 3 Grammy's… Best Pop Vocal Album, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Solo performance.

As the audience wondered if there would be an Oscar moment, host Trevor Noah said, "We're gonna be keeping people's names out of our mouths."

What is sure to be a talked about moment… SZA, while on crutches, got to the stage before Doja Cat when they won for Best Pop Duo Group Performance. Doja admitted she had been in the bathroom.

One of the most talked about subjects online during the show was for categories that didn't even air. Just nine days after drummer Taylor Hawkins died, Foo Fighters swept with 3 wins…Best Rock Performance ("Making a Fire"), Best Rock Song ("Waiting On a War") and Best Rock Album (Medicine at Midnight). The band did not attend.

Following a pre-recorded speech by Ukraine's President Zelensky, John Legend sang about freedom for the people of Ukraine.

For a night that boasts 86 categories, a few standouts included… Best Traditional R&B Performance, it went to H.E.R. for "Fight For You."

Country music's Chris Stapleton, won 3. Best album, solo performance and Country Song.

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennet won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Love for Sale. In a sentimental Grammy moment, She performed and dedicated the song to him after he introduced her from a pre-recorded video.

And Baby Keem won Best Rap Performance for "Family Ties," a song that features Kendrick Lamar.

Normally held in Los Angeles, The 64^th Grammy Awards took place on Sunday evening (4-3) in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

On Friday (April 1st), Will Smith released a statement announcing that he is resigning from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

"I have directly responded to the Academy's disciplinary hearing notice, and I will fully accept any and all consequences for my conduct. My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable. The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home. I betrayed the trust of the Academy," the statement read.

"I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work. I am heartbroken. I want to put the focus back on those who deserve attention for their achievements and allow the Academy to get back to the incredible work it does to support creativity and artistry in film," he continued. "So, I am resigning from membership in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and will accept any further consequences the Board deems appropriate."

The President of the Academy, David Rubin, issued a statement shortly thereafter: "We have received and accepted Mr. Will Smith's immediate resignation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. We will continue to move forward with our disciplinary proceedings against Mr. Smith for violations of the Academy's Standards of Conduct, in advance of our next scheduled board meeting on April 18."

DENZEL WASHINGTON BREAKS HIS SILENCE ON WILL SMITH SLAPPING CHRIS ROCK

Variety reports that at T.D. Jakes' leadership summit Saturday (April 2nd), Denzel Washington commented on the situation, saying, "Well, there's a saying, ‘When the devil ignores you, then you know you're doing something wrong.' The devil goes, ‘Oh no, leave him alone, he's my favorite.' Conversely, when the devil comes at you, maybe it's because he's trying to do something right. And for whatever reason the devil got ahold of that circumstance that night."

The Training Day actor continued, "Fortunately there were people there. Not just me, but others. Tyler Perry came immediately right over there with me. Said some prayers. I don't wanna say what we talked about, but for the grace of God go any of us. Who are we to condemn? I don't know all the ins and outs of the situation, but I know the only solution was prayer, the way I see it."

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE ADDRESSES THE OSCARS SLAP

Saturday Night Live addressed the infamous slap a few times this past weekend. Entertainment Tonight reports that host Jerrod Carmichael, who had just come out as gay through his new HBO comedy special, talked about the Oscars slap in his opening monologue—without even having to mention Will Smith and Chris Rock by name.

"This is going to really blow your minds. Can you believe that it's been six days? Six days! This happened a week ago. Doesn't it feel like it happened years ago? Like doesn't it feel like it happened when we were all in high school? Like it feels like it happened between Jamiroquai and 9/11. A long, long time ago. It happened on Sunday. Sunday! It's Saturday, bro," he said.

Carmichael said he made a vow to stop talking about the slap, but that "Lorne Michaels came into my dressing room. He was like, 'I think you need to talk about it.' He said, 'The nation needs to heal.'"

Michael Che and Colin Jost made jokes about the incident on Weekend Update, and the show also featured a skit of the night in question.

Kanye "Ye" West reportedly told Kim Kardashian recently that he was "going away to get help"—in an effort to stop harassing her and Pete Davidson.

A source told Entertainment Tonight: "For the sake of their kids, Kanye told Kim he's not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements, and he will go away somewhere to get better."

One of West's reps told the publication, "At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is and focused on raising their beautiful children."

TMZ reports that Desperately Seeking Susan star Rosanna Arquette was in an accident last week at the Palisades Village shopping center in Los Angeles. Arquette was behind the wheel of her Tesla on Tuesday (March 29th) when it crashed into the back of a UPS truck.

Eyewitnesses say Arquette's car was parked about 10 feet behind the delivery truck before it unexpectedly smashed into the back of the vehicle, causing her airbags to deploy.

Onlookers report that The L Word actress looked distraught and that she was grabbing her hair after getting out of the car.

Police arrived on the scene, but no report was filed, and the Tesla was towed away. Todd Morgan, Arquette's husband of nine years who filed for divorce just last month, picked her up and drove her away from the site of the accident.

Jared Leto's Morbius had a decent pandemic opening at $38 million, replacing The Lost City for the number one spot. Some projections showed the film bringing in $40-50 million over the weekend, so results were a little short. However, to Sony's credit, they kept their expectations relatively low at $33 million.

LEE DANIELS APOLOGIZES TO MO'NIQUE: Following a 13-year feud, Today reports that Lee Daniels apologized to Mo'Nique for a dispute they had while working together on Precious. At her Mo'Nique and Friends: April Fools Day with the Queen of Comedy show, Daniels got up onstage and said, "I am so sorry for hurting you in any way that I did. Y'all, she was my best friend, my best friend. Y'all think that ‘Precious,' was just … that was God working through both of us and we're gonna f—ing do it again." Mo'Nique later posted a photo of the pair together, writing, "NO CAPTION NEEDED. I LOVE US 4REAL."

BLAC CHYNA SAYS SHE'S FOCUSED ON HER TRIAL AGAINST THE KARDASHIANS: According to People, Blac Chyna posted to Twitter on Saturday (April 2nd) about the upcoming trial she has against Kris Jenner and three of her daughters. The lawsuit, originally filed in 2017, claims that the family is responsible for the cancellation of Rob & Chyna, Chyna's reality series with ex-fiance, Rob Kardashian. "I plan to re-focus my attention on my trial against Kris Jenner and her daughters Kim, Khloé, and Kylie which starts in 13 days. When they got my No. 1 hit show killed back in January 2017, that not only hurt me financially and emotionally, that hurt my beautiful KIDS," she wrote.

SAVANNAH GUTHRIE LAUGHS AT TROLL WHO SAYS SHE LOOKS ‘SO OLD:' Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie posted to her Instagram stories on Friday (April 1st), sharing a comment she received from a fan. "You look so old Savannah what happened to you," the person said. Guthrie wrote, "I love my fans," above the comment, and responded to the troll, "I aged!" adding a laughing and crying emoji.

NICO SANTOS AND ZEKE SMITH GET ENGAGED AT GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS SHOW: People reports that Survivor contestant Zeke Smith surprised Superstore star Nico Santos at the GLAAD Media Awards with a marriage proposal. ESTELLE HARRIS DIES AT 93: According to Deadline, the beloved Seinfeld star Estelle Harris passed away on Saturday (April 2nd) in Palm Desert, California. She died of natural causes weeks before her 94th birthday. Her son, Glen Harris, told the publication, "Her kindness, passion, sensitivity, humor, empathy and love were practically unrivaled, and she will be terribly missed by all those who knew her." In addition to playing Estelle Costanza on Seinfeld, Harris was also known for playing the voice of Mrs. Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise. She was featured on many shows as well, including Futurama, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Looney Tunes Show, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

GLAAD MEDIA AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED: Deadline reports that the big honorees at the 33rd annual GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday (April 2nd) included Saved by the Bell, Hacks, and Eternals. GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said, "Our nominees and award recipients, including Eternals, Hacks, and Saved by The Bell, We're Here, and RuPaul's Drag Race showcase the beautiful diversity of LGBTQ people.
