Dancing with the Stars alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy called out his former partner, Kirstie Alley, over a tweet she posted on the war in Ukraine.

In the since-deleted tweet, Alley wrote, “I don’t know what’s real or what is fake in this war. So I won’t be commenting. I’ll pray instead.”

Chmerkovskiy, who has been sharing updates from the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, took to Instagram to address Alley’s words. He wrote in his stories, “Dear Kirstie, We haven’t spoken in a while, but I clearly remember being right next to you while you were organizing trucks of aid during hurricane Sandy and I remember all that you were saying to me about situations where innocent are suffering. That same energy is needed right now.”

“No one needs your prayer if you don’t know what’s real or fake,” he added.

In a video posted to Instagram on Saturday (February 26th), Chmerkovskiy assured fans that he’s safe, but that he’s in the “eye of the storm.” He asked viewers to “please make your voice be heard and just spread the word that this needs to pause.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry received the President's Award at the NAACP Image Awards on Saturday (February 26th).

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were recognized for their work with the Archewell Foundation, which the pair launched in 2020.

In the couple’s acceptance speech, Markle said, “It's inspiring to think about the legacy of the Image Awards, which began shortly after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 were passed into law. Today, we can continue that legacy by re-establishing federal voting protections in our country and fulfilling the work of civil rights giants, like the late John Lewis.”

We share a commitment to a life of service, a responsibility to combat injustice and a belief that the most often overlooked are the most important to listen to."

Markle followed this, saying, "And I couldn't be prouder that we're doing this work together. We moved to California, my home state, shortly before the murder of George Floyd. For Black America, those nine minutes and 29 seconds transcended time, invoking centuries of our unhealed wounds. In the months that followed, as my husband and I spoke with the civil rights community, we committed ourselves and our organization, Archewell, to illuminating those who are advancing racial justice and progress."

AN EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE ORDER IS ISSUED FOR SHANNA MOAKLER: Us Weekly exclusively reports that, following Murder Party actor Matthew Rondeau’s arrest, former Miss USA Shanna Moakler was issued an emergency protective order. The details of the case are disturbing, so please consider this a content warning. An officer described the dispute in a report: “[Rondeau] grabbed victim by the hair, [swinging] her by hair on the ground.” He then “grabbed [Moakler’s] face and neck, threw chair at victim and urinated on [her], leaving visible injuries.”

Maksim Chmerkovsky shared multiple videos Thursday (Feb. 24th) morning from the center of Kyiv, Ukraine, where he's been filming a project called World of Dance UA.

The Ukrainian-born, former Dancing With the Stars pro spoke over the sounds of sirens as he explained that he didn't believe things would escalate as quickly as they did.

He wrote in the captions, "I will never be the same. This is stressful and I'm getting old feelings back, like I've done this before. This does feel like the way it was when and why we left in the 90s. Like my old PTSD I've finally fixed is coming back. I literally only just forgot about those 'always on the edge' feelings and actually started worrying about things like bbq grills."

In a second clip, the dancer announced that he wants to go back home to the United States and choked up thinking about his friends who cannot escape.

He addressed his Russian fans before heading to a bomb shelter, saying, "I think the Russians need to get up and actually say something, because no one's opinion is being heard. This is all one man's ambition of something, and however convenient it sounds in Moscow, however comfortable you are where you are in Russia, I just don't think this is the right thing."

Bill Paxton's widow and children have reached a $1 million partial settlement of their wrongful-death lawsuit with the anesthesiologist who treated the Big Love star two weeks prior to his death.

Deadline reports that Dr. Moody Makar and General Anesthesia Specialists Partnership filed court papers Wednesday (Feb. 23rd) in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking approval of the accord between the Paxton family members and the company.

According to court documents, General Anesthesia Specialists' lawyers said the company "denies liability in this matter" but said the settlement deal will "reasonably compensate plaintiffs and avoid exposing defendant to an expensive and time consuming litigation."

The actor's death certificate states he died of a stroke on Feb. 25th, 2017, 11 days after surgery to replace a heart valve and repair aorta damage. He was 61.

A trial date for the remainder of the lawsuit, against Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Ali Khoynezhad, is scheduled for September 19th.

Elliot Page is speaking out in support of trans youth in Texas.

The Umbrella Academy star, who came out as transgender in 2020, is "horrified" by the Texas Attorney General's written opinion that gender affirming care is child abuse under state law.

Page said in a statement to Variety, "I am horrified by the inhumane and downright dangerous declarations by the Texas Governor and Attorney General. Trans youth deserve gender-affirming care and to be able to live their true, authentic selves without fear and oppression. I stand with trans youth and their families."

Reports say that Wendy Williams may be planning to take legal action against the production company of her show. According to RadarOnline, a source said, "Wendy is on sick leave and has basically been fired. This isn't right and Wendy isn't going to take this. She is considering legal action again her producers and is also deciding on what to do about Sherri Shepherd."

The source continued, "Sherri was supposed to be a friend filling in for Wendy while she was sick, but instead, Sherri stabbed Wendy in the back. If anyone thinks Wendy is going to disappear without a fight they are a fool."

Meanwhile, other reports say that Wendy may be signing a multi-million dollar deal for a new podcast. During his show on Fox Soul with Claudia Jordan and Funky Dineva, Al Reynolds said, ""The word on the street – now these are the deep deep streets – says that Wendy is working on a multi-million dollar podcast deal."

He continued, "Now, we know that Spotify gave Joe Rogan $100 million for his podcast. So – everybody know that you heard it first right here on Fox Soul, that I think that Wendy Williams is up to something and that's why she's not posting or anything. I think this is a lead-up to a bigger announcement that we're going to see coming down the pipe on her newfound home."

'FULL HOUSE' CAST TO REUNITE: The Full House cast is gearing up for a family reunion following Bob Saget's death. E! News confirmed Thursday (Feb. 24th) that Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, and Scott Weinger are set to reunite for ‘90s Con, which will be a two-day event in Hartford, CT, from March 11th to March 13th. Authorities investigating Saget's January 9th death believe the comedian struck his head on the marble floor of his hotel bathroom before stumbling into bed and losing consciousness.

AMANDA SEYFRIED ALMOST TURNED DOWN 'THE DROPOUT' BECAUSE SHE HAD COVID: Amanda Seyfried revealed to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday (Feb. 24th) that she initially turned down the role of Elizabeth Holmes because she was "having a moment". The actress, who eventually took the role in Hulu's new limited series, The Dropout told the outlet, "I had Covid, I was isolating in the basement of a gross townhouse in Savannah, Georgia, because my husband was working on a movie there. And now an L.A. shoot? Pass!" Once her fever broke, she decided to take over the role from Kate McKinnon, who left the project to play Carole Baskin in Peacock's Joe vs. Carole.

MICHAEL MADSEN ARRESTED FOR TRESSPASSING: Michael Madsen was arrested for trespassing on Wednesday (Feb. 23rd) night at his home in Malibu, California. According to the Daily Mail, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department led him to West Hills Hospital before transferring him to a police station. He reportedly was given a $500 citation and released from custody around 7 a.m. on Thursday (Feb. 24th). The Reservoir Dogs star's run-in with the law comes just a month after his 26-year-old son, Hudson, died by suicide.

'JEOPARDY! CHAMP AMY SCHNEIDER IS ENGAGED: Jeopardy! champ Amy Schneider is engaged to her partner Genevieve Davis. The game show winner shared the news on Instagram Thursday (Feb. 24th), writing. " She said yes! Well, actually I said yes, but then I wanted to propose too, so she said yes as well lol. I couldn't be happier or more proud to be marrying the very best person in the entire world, and I'm so glad to be sharing my life with her."

'THE CROWN' SET ROBBED: Police are investigating the theft of over $200,000 worth of props from the set of The Crown. According to Variety, over 350 items were taken, including a replica Fabergé egg, a grandfather clock clockface, a dressing table, crystal glassware and silver and gold candelabras. A spokesperson for Netflix told the outlet, "We can confirm the antiques have been stolen and we hope that they are found and returned safely. Replacements will be sourced, there is no expectation that filming will be held up."

SEAN PENN FILMING DOCUMENTARY IN UKRAINE: Sean Penn is in the Ukraine filming a documentary about the country's conflict with Russia amid the invasion that began Wednesday (Feb. 23rd) night. Penn is shooting the film for Vice, and met with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky this week. According to the Daily Mail, Penn also attended a government press briefing Thursday (Feb. 24th).

SALLY KELLERMAN DEAD AT 84: Sally Kellerman died Thursday (Feb 24th) morning at the age of 84. Her son, Jack Crane, told The Hollywood Reporter that the actress, best known as "Hot Lips" Houlihan in the film M*A*S*H, passed away in California after a battle with dementia.

LOUIS CK SCHEDULED TO PERFORM IN UKRAINE: Louis CK is reportedly planning to perform in Kyiv, Ukraine this weekend despite the Russian invasion. A fan tweeted a graphic Wednesday (Feb. 23rd) that read, "Dear attendees, Louis C.K. performance will take place, as planned, on February 25 and 26, 2022. Tickets for Louis C.K. show purchased earlier remain valid for new dates and do not require an exchange."

PAULY SHORE SHOPPING MEMOIR: Pauly Shore is shopping a memoir about his "rise and fall from fame." Page Six reoprts that Shore is penning the book with Us Weekly deputy features editor and former People writer Gillian Telling. She told the outlet, "After I interviewed Pauly Shore for a feature in People in 2021, I was like, ‘Jesus, this guy has so many insanely rich stories, the world needs to hear them. Who else grew up in a comedy club on the Sunset Strip in the '70s, '80s, and 90s, got super famous and then lost it all – and survived to tell the tales."

According to an excerpt from Blood, Sweat & Chrome: The Wild and True Story of Mad Max: Fury Road, published in Vanity Fair, Theron grew scared of her costar after they argued about his chronic tardiness.

Crew members told author Kyle Buchanan that the dustup occurred after the Monster actress was forced to wait for three hours, in full costume, for Hardy to show up on set. When the Venom actor finally arrived, she started screaming at him, demanding he be fined for being late, and accusing him of being disrespectful.

Camera operator Mark Goellnicht said Hardy charged up to her and added, "He was quite aggressive. She really felt threatened, and that was the turning point."

The Oscar winning actress said, "I was in survival mode; I was really scared s–tless. It was like two parents in the front of the car. We were either fighting or we were icing each other — I don't know which one is worse — and they had to deal with it in the back. It was horrible! We should not have done that; we should have been better. I can own up to that."

Hardy addressed his actions in the book as well and said, "In hindsight, I was in over my head in many ways. The pressure on both of us was overwhelming at times."

The "Dunkirk" actor continued, "What she needed was a better, perhaps more experienced partner in me … I'd like to think that now that I'm older and uglier, I could rise to that occasion."

The husband of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins told Hoda Kotb that he was angered by Alec Baldwin's ABC interview with George Stephanopoulos last year.

Matthew Hutchins said in an interview scheduled to air on Today Thursday (Feb. 24th), "The idea that the person holding the gun and causing it to discharge is not responsible is absurd to me."

He adds, "Watching him, I just felt so angry. I was just so angry to see him talk about her death so publicly in such a detailed way and then to not accept any responsibility after having just described killing her."

Baldwin told Stephanopoulos in his December 2nd, 2021 interview that he never pulled the trigger on the gun that killed Halyna on the set of Rust last October and that it was unlikely he'd ever face criminal charges.

TMZ is reporting that Jennifer Lawrence is a mom. According to the outlet, public records show that the Hunger Games star gave birth in L.A. County, but the gender of the child and exact date of birth have not been revealed.

The news comes five months after People broke the news of the 31-year-old actresses' pregnancy last September.

This is the first child for both Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney. The couple tied the knot on October 19th, 2019 in Rhode Island.

The Saturday Night Live star shared his first and last post to the @pmd account on Wednesday (Feb. 23rd) before going dark. The video, captured by a fan account, showed a scene from his forthcoming film, The Home, and included the caption, "They're letting me add my own dialogue to The Home."

MEGHAN MARKLE MOCKED NAKED COSTAR: Meghan Markle made fun of her Suits co-star after seeing him naked for the first time. Patrick J. Adams told Entertainment Tonight that the Duchess of Sussex teased him after seeing his performance in 9 Circles. He said, "She certainly was at the play where I was naked and she had a good time making fun of me after."

ANTHONY EDWARDS SECRETLY WED MARE WINNINGHAM: Anthony Edwards and Mare Winningham were secretly married last year. During a recent interview with Esquire, Edwards revealed that the couple eloped in an intimate ceremony with "just the two of them and an old friend to officiate." Edwards and Winningham, both of whom starred in Miracle Mile in 1986, began dating in 2020 while they were both living in New York City.

CHERYL BURKE FILES FOR DIVORCE FROM MATTHEW LAWRENCE: Cheryl Burke has filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Matthew Lawrence. According to documents obtained by TMZ, the Dancing With The Stars pro lists the date of separation as January 7th and the estranged couple has a prenuptial agreement. She is citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

JERRY LEWIS ACCUSED OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT: A number of women accused Jerry Lewis of sexual harassment and assault in a recent feature for Vanity Fair's annual "Hollywood Issue." Two of the most serious allegations come from Hope Holiday, who appeared in The Ladies Man with the so-called King of Comedy and Karen Sharpe who played his love interest in The Disorderly Orderly.

Holiday tells the outlet that Lewis locked her in her dressing room and began to "talk dirty" to her and masturbate, while Sharpe asserted that he unzipped his pants and fondled her after a costume fitting. When she rebuffed his advances, he allegedly forbade anyone on set from speaking to her.

CHARLIE SHEEN WORKING ON PILOT: Charlie Sheen is reportedly working on a TV pilot written and produced by Entourage creator Doug Ellin. Sources told Page Six that the show began shooting in Los Angeles on Wednesday (Feb. 23rd) and will even feature a cameo from the actor's father, Martin Sheen. The project also features Entourage alums Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon.

'THE AMAZING JONATHAN' DEAD AT 63: John Edward Szeles, the standup comedian and magician best known as "The Amazing Jonathan" died at his Las Vegas home Tuesday (Feb. 22nd) after a long battle with heart disease. His widow, Anastasia Synn, confirmed his death to the Las Vegas Review Journal just before midnight. He was 63.

DONNY DAVIS DEAD AT 43: Donny Davis, a comedian and dancer for Britney Spears' 2013 Las Vegas Residency and a frequent guest on Chelsea Lately, died Tuesday (Feb. 22nd) at the age of 43. Police told CBS affiliate KLAS that Davis was found dead inside his room at Las Vegas' Resorts World hotel and Casino just before 6 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 23rd). No cause of death was disclosed pending an investigation.

ANDREW GARFIELD JOINS 'UNDER THE BANNER OF HEAVEN': Andrew Garfield is taking on the role of Detective Pyre in the FX mini-series Under the Banner of Heaven. According to the network's description, Pyre is a Latter-Day Saints "elder who is committed to his Church and family but begins to question some of the Church's teachings through his contact with a suspected murderer." The series is based on the 2003 book of the same title, in which author Jon Krakauer detailed the 1984 murder of Brenda Lafferty and her infant daughter, Erica, at the hands of brothers-in-law Ron and Dan Lafferty.

After guest hosting The Wendy Williams Show in lieu of Wendy Williams due to her ongoing health issues, Sherri Shepherd has landed her own talk show. Sherri will debut in the fall, filling the timeslot for The Wendy Williams Show, which is officially ending after 13 seasons.

Williams’ rep, Howard Bragman, commented on the news. “It's been a challenging time for Wendy as she deals with her health issues. She is incredibly grateful to Debmar-Mercury, to Sherri and everybody else who has supported the show through this time.”

He continued, “She, more than anyone, understands the reality of syndicated television — you can't go to the marketplace and sell a show that's the 'Maybe Wendy Show.' She understands why this decision was made from a business point of view, and she has been assured by Debmar-Mercury that should her health get to a point where she can host again and should her desire be that she hosts again that she would be back on TV at that time."

Shepherd celebrated the news in a statement: "OMG! I am so excited to have my dream come true and debut my very own talk show SHERRI in the fall. I can't wait until I return to NY to host the show and merge everything I love … pop culture, talk, entertainment and comedy. Following Bragman’s comments, the newly launched WendyWilliamsOfficial Instagram account posted a story that read, "Mr. Bragman although I appreciate your concerns and respect you immensely I have not authorized you to make any statements on my behalf regarding my current status with Debmar Mercury. Again thanks for your continuing concern and support."

In response to this, Bragman told People, "I'm not honestly convinced of the source of that social media post, so when my old friend Wendy FaceTimes me personally and we alone have a chance to discuss recent events, together we can figure out the best path forward.”

In honor of Black History Month, Scandal star Kerry Washington is celebrating “BlackHERstory” with a commemorative post for the late Rosa Parks.

Washington posted a photo of herself recreating Parks’ 1955 mugshot, which she featured alongside the original photo on Instagram Monday (February 21st).

She captioned the post, “A lot of people think that Rosa’s activism started with her refusing to give up her seat on the bus. But she lived a life of activism long before that. Fighting, boycotting, marching, and even working as an investigator for the NAACP, advocating against sexual assaults on Black women.”

She continued, “It was Rosa Park’s act of civil disobedience on that bus that sparked a revolution. She took that seat in order to take a stand. That seat on the bus was her fighting stance - and so we continue the fight today, in whatever way we can! Lets ask ourselves, what can we do! Sit. Stand. March. Make calls. Volunteer. Talk to your family and friends. Do whatever you can and however you can. Rosa taught us that. And we are forever grateful. It was an honor to honor her.”

Last week, Washington posted another “BlackHERstory” tribute for Black athlete Wilma Rudoph, who took home three gold medals from the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960.

Idris Elba has music on his mind. The Luther actor told Vanity Fair recently that he’s planning to “lean away from the acting work" to put effort into making music.

"Some may think, 'Well, it will be the death of your acting if your music's s---.' I've dealt with the internal struggle of that over the years. So now I'm at peace and I've chosen: This is what I'm doing, and I'm going to do it. Some will love it and some will hate it," he said.

Elba didn’t just play a deejay on Netflix’s Turn Up Charlie series, he actually performed as one at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding reception in 2018 and at Coachella in 2019.

"I've worked my whole life to play at Coachella. I made it at 46! I nearly passed out when I found out," he said at the time.

Elba previously told People that he’s loved music since he was just four years old, saying that he was "mesmerized by the turntable going around and around."

Commenting on the decision to take a break from acting in order to achieve his music-making goals, Elba said, "The thing about making music is it's a very consuming process. Rosie O’Donnell had her foot in her mouth after seeing Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas at Nobu in Malibu, California, over the weekend. O’Donnell took to TikTok on Monday (February 21st) to share her blunder, which she said embarrassed her son, his girlfriend, and Fran Drescher.

"So I said, 'Hi, Nick Jonas, you were great in Kingdom' and, 'Hi, I know your dad,'" O’Donnell said to Priyanka. "She goes, 'You do? Who's my dad?' And I go, 'Deepak.' She goes, 'No, and Chopra is a common name.'" Chopra’s father, Ashok Chopra, died in 2013.

Some users took issue with the way O’Donnell told this story, as she hadn’t yet learned Priyanka’s name. "'Someone Chopra' and 'the Chopra wife' sound worse to me than the mistake. I mean, the device for making TikToks also has Google," one user wrote. Another commented, “Her name is Priyanka."

In a follow-up video, O’Donnell apologized to Priyanka, adding that the Matrix: Resurrections actress “wasn't rude,” but that the interaction “was just awkward."

"Anyway, Priyanka is her name. Priyanka — I hope I'm pronouncing that right. I just want to apologize to her and to everyone who thought that it was really inappropriate of me. Sorry, sometimes I f--- up. I did at Nobu," O’Donnell said.
