Machine Gun Kelly Blames False News Reports For Lawsuit

Machine Gun Kelly has blamed his fame and false news reports for his failure to respond to an assault and battery lawsuit filed against him by a disabled parking lot attendant. He claims that because of his celebrity status, the stories reported about the allegation were either false or partly true.

In the complaint filed last September, the attendant John Tilli alleged that Kelly pushed and threatened him while he was working. The LA City Attorney's Office decided not to charge, due to "reasonable likelihood of conviction."

Kelly is now requesting a judge to allow him to fight the civil claim over the alleged incident… so that he can clear it up.

MGK denies the allegations and claims that he had not been served with the complaint and hadn't seen the official publication of the summons prior to the deadline to respond to the lawsuit.

He said that he promptly retained counsel when he learned of the lawsuit but that was after stories had been published.
