Only One in Five Women Wear Make-Up Every Day Now

Chattanooga, Tennessee—(Wise Brother)
The pandemic and working from home probably gave this a nudge, but it was trending down before that . . .
How many women wear make-up these days? A new study found you’re more likely to say you NEVER wear it than to wear it every day.
Only 19% of women wear make-up daily now, and 26% never do. Another 19% said a few times a week. But the most popular response was a few times a month with 21% of the vote.
The most commonly-used type of make-up is mascara, with 46% using it often. Lipstick or lip gloss is next, followed by foundation, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and blush.
The most common reason women doll themselves up is NOT for you, men. It’s to give themselves a confidence boost. Special occasions ranked second.
The poll also asked how long it usually takes to do your make-up. The #1 answer was less than 10 minutes. (Unless your husband is waiting on you . . . then it’s three hours.) 11% said up to an hour. 2% said longer than that.
