10 Millennial Trends That Gen Z Says Are No Longer “Cool”
It’s only natural for younger generations to think older generations are lame. But it’s hard to keep up with what’s hip. (Like, do we hate ankle socks now, or what?)
So, according to Gen Z, here are ten Millennial trends that are no longer “cool”:
1. Taking photos of your food and posting it online.
2. The phrase, “I did a thing.”
3. Skinny jeans . . . because it reminds them of Gru from “Despicable Me”.
4. Saying “lol” out loud. Someone online said, “Just laugh! Don’t say ‘lol’. It feels like you’re mocking me.”
5. Open toe shoes.
6. Monochrome furniture.
7. The term “adulting.”
8. Side-parts in your hair.
9. High-waisted jeans.
10. And finally, quote, “People who do the Jim Carrey face are automatically cringey . . . They tend to be stuck in the ’90s and refuse to grow up. It’s unoriginal, and it makes people feel uncomfortable. Let Jim Carrey do it and no one else. It’s embarrassing for you and your friends.”
