New Trend: “Barefoot High Heels”

Not sure if this was a problem that needed solving . . . but there’s now a solution for women who want to go somewhere fancy, wear high-heels, but also be BAREFOOT at the same time.

The shoe brand Jeffrey Campbell has debuted new “barefoot heels,” which are similar to fancy high heels . . . but there are no straps over the top of your feet.

On the bottom, there’s a heel beneath the back of your foot . . . but then it drops down to nothing below your arch, leaving the ball of your foot TOUCHING THE GROUND.

Chanel also just debuted a similar “barefoot heel” style. It’s the high-fashion version of having a hole worn through the sole of your old sneakers.

It’s unclear how much these “shoes” will run you.  The Chanel version costs around $2,000. These are expected to cost “a fraction” of that . . . but they aren’t listed on the Jeffrey Campbell website yet.

Online commenters are confused.  One said, “So, we are just going barefoot in this contaminated hellscape!?”  And another said, “I love stepping in dog pee in the morning.”  And someone said, “The Tetanus 2000s!”
