In a bold move meant to enhance the visual appeal of one of its most iconic landmarks, the City of Chattanooga has announced that the Walnut Street Bridge will be repainted "Tennessee Orange" during the current renovation.
The discovery was made by two boatmen who were out on the river early in the morning. They initially thought they were rowing over some big rocks, but they were shocked to find out that wasn't the case.
The decision to put this where The Signal currently stands was not without controversy, however, city officials believe that the benefits outweigh any potential downsides.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the site, which has been home to the Chattanooga Lookouts minor league baseball team since it was built.
