Chattanooga to Celebrate UTC Mocs’ NIT Championship with Victory Parade

The City of Chattanooga is rolling out the red carpet for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) Mocs men’s basketball team, who recently clinched the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) title. The much-anticipated victory parade will take place on Thursday, April 17th, starting at 6:00 p.m., celebrating the Mocs’ impressive achievement and the unity they brought to the community.
Kicking off at Mabel Street, the parade will wind its way to Miller Park, where fans and supporters can join in the festivities. “Chattanooga, it’s time to celebrate a championship season we’ll never forget,” the UTC Mocs urged fans on social media. “Join us for a victory parade honoring the UTC Mocs men’s basketball team, who didn’t just win the NIT—they won the hearts of our entire city.”
The parade will feature the beloved Mocs players, their dedicated coaching staff, UTC’s spirited cheer squad, and many more. Residents are encouraged to come out and cheer for their champions as they make their way through the streets of Chattanooga.
For those planning to attend, free public parking will be available behind the Bessie Smith Cultural Center. A detailed route and parking map will be shared in advance to help fans navigate the festivities.
Following the parade, attendees are invited to continue the celebration at Miller Park for a pep rally at 6:15 p.m. Fans will have the exclusive opportunity to hear from the champions themselves and express their pride and gratitude in a celebration that promises the energy and excitement that only the Chattanooga community can deliver.
