'SMASH' HEADS TO BROADWAY: Smash is heading to Broadway for the 2024/2025 season. Producers Robert Greenblatt, Neil Meron and Steven Spielberg announced Wednesday (March 22nd) that the adaptation of the NBC musical drama is heading to the Great White Way. Although the score will be written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who wrote over two dozen songs for the television show, the stage iteration will "depart liberally" from the series.

JAMIE LEE CURTIS TO GUEST STAR ON 'THE STICKY': Jamie Lee Curtis has already landed her first post-Oscar role. The Everything Everywhere All At Once star will join the Amazon comedy series The Sticky as a guest star. According to Variety, production is already underway on the series inspired by the true story of the "Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist," in which 70 percent of the world's global maple syrup supply was stolen.

HBO MAX DEVELOPING HEIDI FLEISS DRAMA: Variety reports that HBO Max is developing a drama series based on the life of Hollywood madame, Heidi Fleiss. Fleiss will serve as a consultant on the project.

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS TO RETURN TO 'HIMYF': Neil Patrick Harris will return to Hulu's How I Met Your Father. Deadline reports he will return as his HIMYM character Barney Stinson in the upcoming Season 2 midseason finale.

Nick Lachey Is Ordered To Attend Anger Management Classes Following Paparazzi Outburst

According to Page Six, Nick Lachey has been ordered to attend anger management classes and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for accosting paparazzo Jody Santos in March of 2022.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office told the outlet in a statement Tuesday (March 21st), "Mr. Lachey has not been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery. Instead he is participating in LADA's Prefiling Diversion program, which was established in 2017."

The statement continued, "As part of these conditions he must participate in anger management classes and attend Alcoholic Anonymous meetings. Successful completion of the Prefiling Diversion Program will result in no criminal charges being filed."

Santos told the publication she was in her car photographing the Love is Blind host and his wife, Vanessa Lachey, after they left dinner on March 27th, 2022. "In all my years of photographing celebrities, no one has ever tried to hit me," she said, adding that she rolled up her car window "as fast" as she "could."

"He then started punching the window. I thought he was going to break his hand; that's how hard he was hitting the glass," she added. "I am surprised he didn't shatter the window."

Gwyneth Paltrow Heads To Court In Utah For 2016 Ski Accident Trial

Gwyneth Paltrow appeared in court on Tuesday (March 21st) to defend herself against retired optometrist Terry Sanderson over an alleged ski accident that took place at the Deer Valley Ski Resort near Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2016.

According to court documents, Sanderson claims Paltrow's skiing was "out of control" as she hit him in the back, "knocking him down hard, knocking him out, and causing a brain injury, four broken ribs and other serious injuries." He originally sued Paltrow for $3.1 million, but a judge ruled that he can only seek $300,000 in damages.

The Shakespeare in Love actress is denying Sanderson's claims. Instead, she says he was the one who crashed into her on the slopes, causing her to experience a "full ‘body blow.'" The Goop founder is seeking $1 in damages in her counterclaim suit, with the addition of legal fees. She believes Sanderson's lawsuit is "an attempt to exploit her celebrity and wealth."

The trial is expected to continue through the end of March.

Halle Bailey Says 'It's About Time' A Black Woman Played 'A Role Like' Ariel In 'The Little Mermaid'

Halle Bailey spoke with PopSugar in an interview published Tuesday (March 21st) about her starring role as Ariel in the Disney live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. The film is set to reach theaters on May 26th.

"It's about time that a role like this is played by a Black woman, by somebody who is just a part of this beautiful community. A source told Today that she will be held for 72 hours, and that she "hasn't been in contact with her family for quite some time." Page Six reports that Bynes was allegedly walking around downtown Los Angeles naked, before she flagged down a car and told them she was having a psychiatric episode.

This news comes nearly a year after the She's the Man star ended her conservatorship—and shortly after she missed the All That cast reunion at ‘90s Con over the weekend. The reunion would have marked Bynes' first public appearance since her conservatorship ended in March of 2022.

Her former costar Kel Mitchell spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the What a Girl Wants star's absence, prior to the reports of her psychiatric hold. "I've just been praying for her. It's awesome to see she's doing better. Which is great. We're just continuing to pray for her on her journey, and it's answered prayers that she's doing a lot better," he said.

Bynes had been in a personal conservatorship since 2013, and her parents supported the decision to dissolve it. Lance Reddick passed away unexpectedly on Friday (March 17th) at the age of 60. According to his rep, he died of natural causes.

Reddick is most known for his work on The Wire and in the John Wick movie franchise. He also held roles on shows such as Fringe, Bosch, Lost, Oz, and Resident Evil.

Stars such as Idris Elba, Halle Berry, Ben Stiller, Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan all paid tribute to the late actor on social media.

Elba, who starred on The Wire with Reddick, said in a video on his Instagram story, "Lance really was the guy. Sam Neill Reveals Stage Three Blood Cancer Diagnosis

On Friday (March 17th), The Guardian published an interview with Sam Neill, during which the Jurassic Park actor revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage three angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma—a blood cancer.

Neill began a "very expensive" chemotherapy treatment in 2022. "I'm not off the hook as such, but there's no cancer in my body," he told the outlet.

Following this, he shared a video to Instagram Saturday (March 18th), assuring fans that he's "alive and kicking," and that he's been in remission for eight months.

According to Deadline, projections were low to start with at $35 million for Shazam! Fury Of The Gods' opening weekend, but it appears the sequel didn't even reach that goalpost. The film brought in just $30.5 million, down 43% from the original film's opening at $53.5 million in 2019. Scream VI took second place with $17.5 million, and Creed III followed close behind with $15.3 million.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Thursday (March 16th), Affleck shared what they said to one another.

"I saw GRAMMY host Trevor Noah approach and I was like, 'Oh, God.' They were framing us in this shot, but I didn't know they were rolling. I leaned into her and I was like, 'As soon they start rolling, I'm going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor,'" he said.

Affleck continued, "She goes, 'You better f**king not leave.' That's a husband-and-wife thing. I mean, some of it is, I'm like, 'All right, who is this act?' Like, I don't keep up. My wife does, obviously. And yeah, it is your wife's work event."

He also admitted that he has been bored at award shows before. "I've gone and been bored. I've gone to award shows and been drunk, a bunch. Nobody ever once said I'm drunk," he said. The Gone Girl actor, who is a recovered alcoholic, commented on how some people thought he might be drinking again.

"I thought, that's interesting. That raises a whole other thing about whether or not it's wise to acknowledge addiction because there's a lot of compassion, but there is still a tremendous stigma, which is often quite inhibiting," he said. "I do think it disincentivizes people from making their lives better."

On Wednesday's (March 15th) episode of the Drama Queens podcast, Hilarie Burton Morgan said her One Tree Hill costar Chad Michael Murray once stepped in to defend her during an alleged assault by the show's creator, Mark Schwahn. The cast was on location in Honey Grove, Texas, while filming season four in 2007.

"Chad walked up and goes, 'What are you doing?' He said that to our boss in the bar," Burton Morgan said to her cohosts Sophia Bush and Bethany Joy Lenz. "He watched our boss grab me in front of a lot of people, and you know, Chad didn't have anything to lose because he knew our boss hated him anyway."

Speaking about Murray, Bush said, "He was protected as the No. 1 on the call sheet. He had the most power, so he could come up and shove our boss off you and get in a fight. And I'm glad that he did. I want everybody to follow that lead."

In 2017, Burton and Bush were two of the 18 women who accused Schwahn of sexual harassment while working on the show.
