CAMERON DIAZ IS REPORTEDLY QUITTING ACTING AGAIN AFTER FINISHING NEW MOVIE WITH JAMIE FOXX: The Daily Mail reports that things aren't going so well on the set of Back in Action, the new movie starring Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx. Foxx allegedly had a tantrum while filming, and a source told the outlet, "These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have been a lot on Diaz and she hates being away from Raddix." The Charlie's Angels actress announced that she was retiring from acting a year before welcoming Raddix to the world in 2019. "Although she has gotten to see her family while shooting the film, it is just not the same," the source added.

WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘PRETTY BABY:' According to People, the official trailer for the Hulu documentary Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields was released on Tuesday (March 21st). "The entirety of my life it was, 'she's a pretty face,' over and over and over and over again, and that always seared me," Shields says in the preview. The two-part documentary is expected to hit the streaming platform on April 3rd.

BRIAN COX SAYS HE'S ‘ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED' THAT ‘SUCCESION' IS ENDING: At the season four premiere of Succession Monday night (March 20th), Brian Cox told Entertainment Tonight he's "more than ready" for the show to end. "I think we've, you know, got to the point where the show has reached its natural closure," he said. Cox added that he's "absolutely delighted" to wrap up the project. "In a good way, I'm happy it's over."

Amanda Bynes was placed on a psychiatric hold in California Monday (March 20th). A source told Today that she will be held for 72 hours, and that she "hasn't been in contact with her family for quite some time." Page Six reports that Bynes was allegedly walking around downtown Los Angeles naked, before she flagged down a car and told them she was having a psychiatric episode.

This news comes nearly a year after the She's the Man star ended her conservatorship—and shortly after she missed the All That cast reunion at ‘90s Con over the weekend. The reunion would have marked Bynes' first public appearance since her conservatorship ended in March of 2022.

Her former costar Kel Mitchell spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the What a Girl Wants star's absence, prior to the reports of her psychiatric hold. "I've just been praying for her. It's awesome to see she's doing better. Which is great. We're just continuing to pray for her on her journey, and it's answered prayers that she's doing a lot better," he said.

Bynes had been in a personal conservatorship since 2013, and her parents supported the decision to dissolve it. "In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter," she said at the time.

Rachel Zegler is addressing the criticism faced by her new film, Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The movie fell short of its projections at the domestic box office and currently has a 52% Rotten Tomatoes rating from critics.

"hey our film is actually really good! but mostly i just absolutely loved making it and the people i met whilst doing so :) go see it! give it a chance. we have an 85% audience score for a reason," the West Side Story actress wrote on Twitter.

She added, "some people out there and just being… senselessly mean. and it's unnecessary. and i know, i know, ‘if you can't handle the heat…' and all that nonsense, and you're right. but our film is actually very good. it's just cool to hate on fun nowadays. that's okay. we're good."

At the South By Southwest premiere of Air over the weekend, Ben Affleck said he consulted Michael Jordan about casting for the film. The basketball superstar had only one person in mind when it came to who would play his mother.

"I got the script and had the chance again to talk to Michael," Affleck said. "Michael Jordan is, for those of you who don't know, the most intimidating, impressive man you'll ever see in real life."

The Good Will Hunting actor shared that Jordan had "a look of reverence and awe and love and gratitude and innocence and he just said, ‘None of this would have ever happened without my mother doing everything.'"

Then Affleck asked him who he wanted to play the part of his mother. "He said, ‘Well, it has to be Viola Davis,'" Affleck said. "I said, ‘Do you know that's like saying, 'Can I play basketball when you're out on your court?' And you say, ‘Yeah, if you get Michael Jordan.'"

The Gone Girl actor added, "Viola Davis is the best actor I've ever seen."

Jason Sudeikis and the cast of Ted Lasso appeared at a White House press briefing on Monday (March 20th) to address the issue of mental health. Sudeikis took the podium as his costars stood behind him.

"No matter who you are, no matter where you live, no matter who you voted for, we all probably, I assume, we all know someone who has — or have been that someone ourselves, actually — that's struggled, that's felt isolated, that's felt anxious, that's felt alone," he said. "It's actually one of the many things, believe it or not, that we all have in common as human beings."

‘SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS' DIRECTOR IS ‘DEFINITELY DONE WITH SUPERHEROES' FOLLOWING THE FILM'S NEGATIVE REVIEWS: Shazam! Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg took to Twitter Monday (March 20th) to address critics' response to the new movie. "On Rotten Tomatoes I just got my lowest critic score and my highest audience score on the same film … I wasn't expecting a repeat of the first movie critically but I was still a little surprised because I think it's a good film. Oh well," he wrote. "As I've been saying for a while now I'm very eager to go back to horror (as well as trying some new things). After six years of Shazam I'm definitely done with superheroes for now."

CHRISTINA RICCI SAYS SHE WAS ONCE THREATENED WITH A LAWSUIT FOR REFUSING TO DO A SEX SCENE: On a recent episode of The View, Christina Ricci revealed that, "Someone threatened to sue me once because I didn't want to do this sex scene in a certain way," she said. This came in response to a question about how Hollywood has changed for younger women. "Us older ladies talk about it all the time. It's amazing to see that they don't necessarily have to go through the things we had to go through. They're able to say, ‘I don't want to do this sex scene,' ‘I'm not going to be naked.' They can set boundaries for themselves that we were never allowed to do."

JULIANNE HOUGH TO CO-HOST ‘DANCING WITH THE STARS:' According to Variety, Dancing with the Stars alum Julianna Hough will be returning to the show to co-host the 32nd season alongside Alfonso Ribeiro. This comes after Tyra Banks announced she would not be returning next season. "It is such an honor to be rejoining ‘Dancing with the Stars' as co-host. The show holds such a special place in my heart from the many years and different roles I have had the privilege of being a part of," Hough said in a statement.

Lance Reddick passed away unexpectedly on Friday (March 17th) at the age of 60. According to his rep, he died of natural causes.

Reddick is most known for his work on The Wire and in the John Wick movie franchise. He also held roles on shows such as Fringe, Bosch, Lost, Oz, and Resident Evil.

Stars such as Idris Elba, Halle Berry, Ben Stiller, Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan all paid tribute to the late actor on social media.

Elba, who starred on The Wire with Reddick, said in a video on his Instagram story, "Lance really was the guy. I love him, and I miss him…I don't give a f--- what anyone has to say, he killed that role as an actor. I'm f------g crying right now, heart bleeding for my guy because he f------g went in for us."

Reddick's wife Stephanie shared a post to his Instagram account on Saturday (March 18th). "Lance was taken from us far too soon. Thank you for all your overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories shared on these platforms over the last day," she wrote.

Bruce Willis turned 68 on Sunday (March 19th), marking the Die Hard actor's first birthday since receiving his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. His wife, Emma Heming Willis, took to her Instagram stories to share how she was feeling.

"Today is my husband's birthday. I have started the morning by crying as you can see by my swollen eyes and snotty nose," she said in a video. "I just think it's important that you see all sides of this."

She continued, "I always get this message or people always tell me, 'Oh, you're so strong. I don't know how you do it.' I'm not given a choice. I wish I was, but I'm also raising two kids in this."

Emma added, "Sometimes in our lives, we have to put our big girl panties on and get to it. And that's what I'm doing. But I do have times of sadness, every day, grief every day, and I'm really feeling it today on his birthday."

Later in the day, she shared a touching video montage featuring their lives together. "He is pure love. He is so loved. And I'll be loving him always. Happy Birthday my sweet," she wrote.

On Friday (March 17th), The Guardian published an interview with Sam Neill, during which the Jurassic Park actor revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage three angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma—a blood cancer.

Neill began a "very expensive" chemotherapy treatment in 2022. "I'm not off the hook as such, but there's no cancer in my body," he told the outlet.

Following this, he shared a video to Instagram Saturday (March 18th), assuring fans that he's "alive and kicking," and that he's been in remission for eight months.

"My news seems to be all over the news at the moment, and it's sort of ‘Cancer ! Cancer! Cancer !' Which is slightly tiresome because as you see, I am alive and well and I have been in remission for eight months, which feels really good," Neill said in the video. "I'm alive and kicking and I'm going to work."

According to Deadline, projections were low to start with at $35 million for Shazam! Fury Of The Gods' opening weekend, but it appears the sequel didn't even reach that goalpost. The film brought in just $30.5 million, down 43% from the original film's opening at $53.5 million in 2019. Scream VI took second place with $17.5 million, and Creed III followed close behind with $15.3 million.

‘MEAN GIRLS' WRITER BLASTS TINA FEY OVER UNPAID DUES: Mean Girls was inspired by Rosalind Wiseman's book Queen Bees and Wannabes, but the author told The New York Post recently that Tina Fey and Paramount owe her unpaid dues—and that she is considering taking legal action. Wiseman sold her film rights in 2002 for $400,000, but her contract allegedly included residual gains. However, she claims Paramount says the franchise has made no net profits. DJIMON HOUNSOU FEELS ‘CHEATED' BY PAY DISPARITY IN HOLLYWOOD: According to Deadline, Shazam! Fury of the Gods star Djimon Hounsou has been working in Hollywood for more than 30 years. He has received two Oscar nominations and has held roles in major films such as Amistad, Gladiator, In America, Laura Croft, Blood Diamond, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Yet he told The Guardian recently, "I have yet to meet the film that paid me fairly." Hounsou added, "I'm still struggling to try to make a dollar! I've come up in the business with some people who are absolutely well off and have very little of my accolades. Following this year's Grammys, a video of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez appearing to fight went viral—as did memes of the Good Will Hunting actor looking miserable at the event. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Thursday (March 16th), Affleck shared what they said to one another.

During an interview with Haute Living New York published Wednesday (March 15th), Brian Cox shared his thoughts on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Cox believes Markle had "the childhood dreams of marrying Prince Charming and all that s–t we see as fantasy that could be our lives in our dreams."

While promoting his documentary Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie at South by Southwest on Tuesday (March 14th), Michael J. Fox discussed how his Parkinson's diagnosis has affected his life. "Parkinson's sucks — but it's a great life," he said.

The Back to the Future actor received his diagnosis when he was just 29 years old in 1991. "I have no regrets," Fox said. "You do what you have to do, but you do not want to kill yourself. And that's when I stopped."

The Family Ties actor added, "Pity is a benign form of abuse. I can feel sorry for myself, but I don't have time for that … There is stuff to be learned from this, so let's do that and move on."

Netflix's Addams Family spinoff Wednesday turned out to be a big hit, and Jenna Ortega shared with U.K.'s The Times recently that she almost didn't star in it.

Kyle was booked for felony aggravated assault before posting bond set at $3,000 on Tuesday (March 14th). TMZ reports that, according to Smyrna police, his boss claims he threatened to kill him before beating him up. Kyle also allegedly had a fixed-blade knife.
