In his new Netflix special John Mulaney: Baby J, John Mulaney detailed the intervention that "totally saved his life." The Saturday Night Live star said 12 of his friends gathered in-person and over Zoom to encourage him to get help for a drug addiction.

"Let me just call this out now, I don't mean to be weird. It was a star-studded intervention. It was, like, a good group," Mulaney said. This group included comedians like Fred Armisen, Nick Kroll, Seth Meyers, Bill Hader, and Natasha Lyonne.

"It was like a 'We Are the World' of alternative comedians over the age of 40. All comedians. Yet no one said a funny thing the entire night," the Puss in Boots: The Last Wish actor joked.

Even though he was "so mad that night," Mulaney added, "Getting to do this show, and standing here, listen, I am grateful to everyone at my intervention. They intervened. They confronted me and they totally saved my life." Following the intervention, Mulaney spent two months in rehab and left the facility in February of 2021.

It's hard to imagine Full House without the Olsen twins, but according to John Stamos, "two redheaded kids" almost took their place. Stamos appeared on Monday's (April 24th) episode of the Good Guys podcast and said at one point he "couldn't deal" with the twins crying, so the show "god rid of them."

Describing a scene with Dave Coulier, Stamos said, "We're doing the scene. Joey and I were changing the baby, right? And Danny's gone and said, ‘Take care of the kids.' ‘Yeah, we got it. We got it.' So, we're carrying the baby downstairs and we take her in the kitchen and we hose her down. And she was screaming. Both of them. They wanted to be anywhere else but there — and so did I."

He continued, "They were 11 months old, and God bless them. They kept switching: ‘This one's not gonna cry.' I couldn't deal with it. And I said, ‘This is not gonna work.' So they got rid of them."

After bringing in "two redheaded kids," the You actor added, "It was only a few days, and I said, ‘Bring the Olsens back! These kids are terrible.'"

In honor of Lesbian Visibility Week, the creator of The L Word, Ilene Chaiken, and cast members Jennifer Beals, Leisha Hailey, and Katherine Moennig attended a White House press briefing Tuesday (April 25th). The group addressed attacks on the LGBTQ community, as the American Civil Liberties Union reports that more than 465 anti-LGBTQ bills have been introduced this year.

"Visibility is not just the act of being seen. It is the ability to see," Hailey said. "So to the librarian in Texas, advocating to keep books with LGBTQIA themes on the shelves, we see you. To the LGBTQIA people leading their communities as rabbis, pastors and ministers, we see you. To the LGBTQIA community in Missouri about to lose their gender affirming care, we see you."

Referring to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Chaiken thanked President Biden for "giving us the first out lesbian press secretary who represents hope and possibility for so many people young and a bit older."

For her part, Jean-Pierre shared what a show like The L Word has meant to her and the broader community. "As a young queer woman of color, I felt alone and sometimes invisible," she said. "For so many people in our community, 'The L Word's' impact cannot be understated."

STARS ATTEND L.A. LAKERS GAME: According to Entertainment Tonight, celebrities came out in droves for the L.A. Lakers game on Monday night (April 24th). Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, and Saint West all cheered on Tristan Thompson from the sidelines. Saint was even wearing a Lakers jersey with Thompson's new number on it. Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were featured on the jumbotron ahead of King Charles' coronation in May. DANIEL RADCLIFFE AND ERIN DARKE WELCOME THEIR FIRST CHILD TO THE WORLD: Harry Potter is all grown up! On Tuesday (April 25th), Daniel Radcliffe's rep confirmed with People that he and his girlfriend, Erin Darke, are officially parents. This comes after The Daily Mail published photos of Radcliffe pushing a stroller in New York City. No further details are currently available about the pair's first child.

ALEXANDER LUDWIG CELEBRATES FIVE YEARS OF SOBRIETY: According to Page Six, Hunger Games actor Alexander Ludwig celebrated five years of sobriety over the weekend. "It's pretty crazy to me that five years ago to the day, I was so lost, so confused and so scared about where my life would go," he said in a video shared to Instagram. "All I knew was that I had an issue and a problem that needed to be fixed." The Bad Boys For Life actor added, "If you're struggling, be brave enough to ask for help and take it from me, there really is hope at the end of the road, there really is a light at the end of the tunnel."

FANS SPECULATE ABOUT ROMANCE BETWEEN GLEN POWELL AND SYDNEY SWEENEY: According to Page Six, rumors are swirling around Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell and Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney. The pair posed for photos on the red carpet at CinemaCon in Las Vegas Monday (April 24th) to promote their forthcoming film Anyone But You. The two actors couldn't seem to keep their eyes off one another, and the outlet reports Powell's girlfriend, Gigi Paris, recently unfollowed Sweeney on Instagram. WATCH THE NEW TRAILER FOR ‘THE FLASH:' The Flash director Andy Muschietti revealed a new trailer for the film at CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas on Tuesday (April 25th), according to People. The new trailer contains glimpses of Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck returning as Batman, as well as Michael Shannon reprising his role as General Zod. Speaking about Ezra Miller, Muschietti said, "They are an incredible actor. I had a chance to work with one of the best actors I've ever worked with. They bring the emotion, the humor. They wanted to do all the stunts, and I let them."

SEE DENZEL WASHINGTON AND DAKOTA FANNING REUNITE FOR ‘THE EQUALIZER 3:' Sony Pictures released the official trailer for The Equalizer 3 on Tuesday (April 25th). According to Entertainment Tonight, Denzel Washington reprises his role as the retired U.S. Marine and former DIA officer Robert McCall for the last time in the action-packed film. He also reunites onscreen with his Man on Fire costar Dakota Fanning for the first time since the film was released in 2004. The Equalizer 3 is set to hit theaters on September 1st.

CARRIE FISHER TO RECEIVE POSTHUMOUS HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME STAR: According to Today, Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher will be receiving a posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame star on May 4th in celebration of Star Wars day. Her daughter, Billie Lourd, will accept the honor on her behalf.

CHECK OUT THE TRAILER FOR SEASON THREE OF ‘THE WITCHER:' Netflix dropped the trailer for season three of The Witcher on Tuesday (April 25th). Entertainment Tonight reports that this will be Henry Cavill's last season in the role of Geralt, before Liam Hemsworth takes over as the lead. Volume one is set to be released on the streaming platform on June 29th, and volume two will be released on July 27th.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight recently, Nick Cannon shared how Jamie Foxx is doing after the Ray actor was hospitalized for a "medical complication" earlier this month.

"Man, I'm praying," Cannon said. "You see, I posted on Instagram. I literally have been saying prayers out loud. Words of affirmation for my big brother."

The Wild ‘N Out star also revealed that he has "something special" planned for Foxx. "I know he's doing so much better because I'm actually about to do something special for him, and doing him a favor."

Cannon added, "I can't really say what it is, but it'll be out there soon. I was reluctant to go all the way there, and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it's a beautiful thing. He's awake. They say he's alert, so, we love it."

Comedian Richard Lewis took to Twitter over the weekend to reveal that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Announcing the news in a video, Lewis shared that he's had "sort of a rocky time" over the last three years due to health issues.

"You know, the last three and a half years, I've had sort of a rocky time and people said, ‘I haven't heard from you, are you still touring?'" he said in the video. "Here's really what happened."

Lewis continued, "Three and half years ago I was in the middle of a tour and I finally ended it with a show. I said, ‘You know I'm at the top of my game, after 15 years almost I'm going to call it quits,' and I felt great about that and then out of the blue the shit hit the fan. I had four surgeries back to back to back to back, it was incredible, I couldn't believe it, it was bad luck, but that's life."

The Curb Your Enthusiasm star shared that he's "finished with stand-up" now and is "just focusing on writing and acting." He added, "I have Parkinson's disease but I'm under a doctor's care and everything is cool. I love my wife, I love my little puppy dog and I love all my friends and my fans. And now you know where it's been at the last three and a half years. God bless you."

Helen Mirren is fond of her 1923 costar, Harrison Ford, to say the least. During The Wrap's 2023 Awards Season Screening Series, the Queen actress said she was "so excited" to be in bed with her onscreen husband.

"I had to be in the bed with him, you know. I'm dressed up to here," she said, pointing to her neck. "But I'm lying there and I'm thinking, 'I'm in bed with Harrison Ford.' I was so excited, I can't tell you. I had to pretend to be cool."

BAM MARGERA FACES CRIMINAL CHARGES AFTER PUNCHING HIS BROTHER IN THE FACE: According to AP News, an arrest warrant has been issued for Bam Margera. Pennsylvania State Police announced on Monday (April 24th) that they are looking for the Jackass star, after he punched his brother in the face and took off on foot over the weekend. Margera is charged with simple assault, harassment, and four counts of terroristic threats. This comes after a string of arrests earlier this year, as the Viva La Bam star has publicly struggled with addiction for years.

CHRIS APPLETON AND LUKAS GAGE ARE MARRIED: Chris Appleton and Lukas Gage have tied the knot! According to a marriage license obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the hairstylist and White Lotus star were married in Las Vegas on Saturday (April 22nd). Kim Kardashian was reportedly one of six people who attended the wedding at the Little White Chapel.

DANNY MASTERSON'S RAPE RETRIAL BEGINS IN LOS ANGELES: According to Deadline, opening statements were delivered in Danny Masterson's rape retrial on Monday (April 24th). "This case is about the forcible rape of three women," Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller said. "The evidence will show they were drugged." The That ‘70s Show star has pleaded not guilty to the charges. His first trial was declared a mistrial in November. King of Queens star Leah Remini was also in attendance on Monday (April 24th) because she is a "percipient witness to certain conversations," according to attorney Shawn Holley. Masterson and all three of his accusers were members of the Church of Scientology when the alleged assaults happened. Following the mistrial last year, Remini, a former Scientologist, released a statement on Twitter that read in part, "Scientology and its evil leader David Miscavige obstructed justice and participated in a conspiracy to cover up these crimes. They have done this many other times in cases of rape and other sexual misconduct … Scientology should be a co-defendant in the subsequent trial."

NICOLAS CAGE ADMITS TO PLAYING ‘CRUMMY' ROLES TO PAY OFF DEBT: Nicolas Cage did what he had to do to pay off debt, even if the movie was "crummy." The Face/Off actor told 60 Minutes in an interview released on Sunday (April 23rd), "I was over-invested in real estate. The real estate market crashed, and I couldn't get out in time. I paid them all back, but it was about $6 million. I never filed for bankruptcy." He added, "Work was always my guardian angel. It may not have been blue chip, but it was still work. GABRIELLE UNION TO STAR IN ‘PRETTY LITTLE WIFE:' According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gabrielle Union is set to star in and executive produce Pretty Little Wife, a thriller from A+E Studios and Amazon Studios. The series is based on Darby Kane's novel by the same name. The show has been described as "a cat-and-mouse thriller with a pulpy edge and some sexy soap that centers around two brilliant — and very different — Black women: Lily (Union), the pretty little wife suspected of murdering her husband, and Ginny, the detective on the case. Upon entering each other's lives, they begin to crack open each other's facade to reveal what really lies beneath."

JENNIFER GREY HAD ‘SUCH BAD ANXIETY' WHILE GUEST STARRING ON ‘FRIENDS:' Jennifer Grey opened up to MediaVillage about her time on the first season of Friends in a recent interview. "I was a fan of the show, and I got the call to do it," she said about her role as Mindy. "Then when I did it, I had such bad anxiety because they kept changing the script." The Dirty Dancing star added, "It's very hard to be a guest star because you're not a part of it, and you're really trying to figure it all out. They were trying to figure out what the character was, what the scene was, and it was changing, and changing, and changing. It all made me so anxious that I could barely do it."

While accepting the Vanguard Award at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's annual gala Saturday (April 22nd), Keke Palmer gave an emotional speech, sharing how she feels about her own sexuality and gender identity.

"I'm so grateful to be here today to be embraced by a community that I've always felt accepted by and a part of," she said. "I've always been my own person. Sexuality and identity for me has always been confusion. You know, it's, ‘I never felt straight enough. I never felt gay enough. And I never felt woman enough. I never felt man enough.' You know, I always felt like I was a little bit of everything."

The Nope actress added, "I'm truly so grateful to be seen in this room because I know I'm surrounded by people who know without a doubt what it's like to decide to be who you are in a world that tells you to be everything but yourself."

On a recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Melanie Lynskey recalled how devastating it was when she and Kate Winslet grew apart in the early days of their careers. The Heavenly Creatures costars became close friends in the 1990s after working on the film together.

When the pair "lost touch" later on, the Yellowjackets actress said, "It was more heartbreaking than some breakups that I've had."

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon thought they were set for life after they sold their 1997 movie Good Will Hunting for $600,000. On a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Affleck detailed just how wrong they were.

"When we sold Good Will Hunting I was like, 'We are now rich for life. My needs are over. I will never have to work again,'" the Air actor said. Instead, it turns out, they were "broke in six months."

"We sold it for $600,000, we split that, $300,000 each, and then the agents got $30,000. So we had $270,000, and we paid about $160,000 in taxes, so we had $110,000," Affleck explained. The Super Mario Bros. Movie is on a roll, breaking the record for the best third weekend for an animated movie at the domestic box office. Bringing in $58.2 million, the film beat out 2018's The Incredibles 2 at $46.4 million.

Deadline reports that The Super Mario Bros. Movie has also become the third highest-grossing Universal film of all time at the domestic box office with $434.4 million. Jurassic World currently holds the top spot with $653.4 million, and E.T. is in second place with $437.1 million.

SAVANNAH CHRISLEY IS BOOTED OFF FLIGHT FOR BEING ‘AN UNRULY PASSENGER:' According to People, Savannah Chrisley was thrown off a Southwest Airlines flight for being an "unruly passenger" recently. The Growing Up Chrisley star shared videos to her Instagram stories explaining that she was trying to board a flight at New York's LaGuardia airport, when a flight attendant insisted that she check her bag. After Chrisley refused to comply with his requests, she claims he called her "an unruly passenger" and "threw her off the flight." Southwest Airlines responded to these claims in a statement. "Our initial reports indicate a different story than the one from the Customer's account, as she arrived at the gate late in the boarding process and repeatedly insulted our Employee after being asked to gate-check her bag," they told the outlet. "As a result, the Customer was denied boarding on her original flight, and we booked her on a later flight the same day."

MATTHEW PERRY SAYS MENTIONS OF KEANU REEVES WILL BE REMOVED FROM HIS MEMOIR: At the Festival of Books on Saturday (April 22nd), Matthew Perry told The Los Angeles Times that he plans to remove all Keanu Reeves references from his memoir. The Friends star wrote in his book Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing that Reeves "still walks among us" even as "the original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die." Regarding these lines, Perry told the outlet, "I said a stupid thing. It was a mean thing to do. I pulled his name because I live on the same street. I've apologized publicly to him. Any future versions of the book will not have his name in it."

SHANNEN DOHERTY FILES FOR DIVORCE FROM HER HUSBAND OF 11 YEARS: People reports that Shannen Doherty and her husband of 11 years, Kurt Iswarienko, are going their separate ways. BARRY HUMPHRIES DIES AT 89: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barry Humphries died on Saturday (April 22nd) at the age of 89. Humpries was best known for his alter ego Dame Edna, who he referred to as a "gauche, garrulous Melbourne housewife with a very shrill voice who was obsessed with interior decoration." His family said in a statement, "He was completely himself until the very end, never losing his brilliant mind, his unique wit and generosity of spirit. With over 70 years on the stage, he was an entertainer to his core, touring up until the last year of his life and planning more shows that will sadly never be." ALI WONG AND STEVEN YEUN ADDRESS CONTROVERSY SURROUNDING ‘BEEF' COSTAR DAVID CHOE: On Friday (April 21st), Ali Wong and Steven Yeun addressed the criticism their Beef costar David Choe is facing, after a clip resurfaced in which Choe refers to himself as a "successful rapist" and details how he sexually assaulted a massage therapist. "The story David Choe fabricated nine years ago is undeniably hurtful and extremely disturbing. We do not condone this story in any way, and we understand why this has been so upsetting and triggering," Wong and Yeun, along with the show's creator and executive producers, told Variety in a statement. JOSH BROLIN SAYS SECOND SEASON OF ‘OUTER RANGE' IS ‘TAKING THINGS IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION:' Josh Brolin shared a photo of himself in nothing but a cowboy hat to Instagram on Saturday (April 22nd) and commented on the second season of his show Outer Range. CAROL BURNETT COMMENTS ON HER 90TH BIRTHDAY SPECIAL: Carol Burnett spoke with Page Six about her upcoming special Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love, which is airing on NBC on her 90th birthday this Wednesday (April 26th). "I feel like I'm 11!" the comedian told the outlet about how she feels turning 90. As for what to expect during the special, she said, "I was absolutely gobsmacked by the evening. It was incredible. It's not a birthday party. It's not a roast. It's a variety show."

The manslaughter charges against Alec Baldwin in the death of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins are expected to be dropped.

A statement from prosecutors Thursday (April 20th) evening, revealed that new facts had come to light that make it impossible to proceed against Baldwin in the time alotted.

The D.A. will drop the charges "without prejudice," meaning that the case could be refiled later, perhaps with a lesser charge.

A source close to the situation told Variety evidence indicated that the Colt .45 used to kill Hutchins had been modified prior to the shooting, making it more difficult for the D.A. to prove that Baldwin actually did pull the trigger.

The actor's lawyers told the outlet, "We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident."

John Mulaney revealed in a recent podcast appearance that his intervention took place right after he'd gone to his drug dealer's.

The former Saturday Night Live writer said on This Past Weekend With Theo Von, "I remember I walked into my intervention. I had just been to my drug dealer's apartment and I finally got the right balance. One pocket all coke. One pocket all Xanax and I was like ‘I have done it. I reached equilibrium.'"

According to Mulaney, he then walked into his apartment, filled with "a bunch of people," and tried to convince everyone he "hadn't used drugs" in several days.

Jonathan Majors' attorney claims that video of the Creed III actor's ex partying prove that he did not assault her.

In a court filing obtained by Page Six, Priya Chaudhry says her client's former girlfriend can be seen partying at Loosie's Nightclub at the Moxy hotel in Manhattan in the early hours of March 25th, shortly after the fight in question.

According to Chaudhry, the footage proves that it was the ex-girlfriend who physically assaulted Majors and "considered this event to have no consequences for her."

DENISE RICHARDS RETURNS TO 'RHOBH': Denise Richards is return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She told Variety, "I have filmed some episodes. It's been fun. MARC MARON JOINS MELISSA McCARTHY HOLIDAY FILM: Variety reports that Mark Maron will join Melissa McCarthy for Universal's untitled New York Christmas movie. The film, written by Richard Curtis, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and Love Actually, is about a workaholic man who enlists the help of a genie to help win his family back for the holidays.

Jessica Chastain clarified her rule about signing autographs after a video of her refusing to sign a copy of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo went viral on TikTok.

The clip showed The Eyes of Tammy Faye star telling a fan, "I can't sign that, just because I'm not doing it."

Chastain clarified on Twitter Wednesday (April 19th), "I've been asked multiple times by fans, to sign books that I'm not attached to contractually. Because it feels wrong, and like Im taking credit for someone else's work, I'll say I cant sign because I'm not doing it. That doesn't mean I've read a bad script."

The Oscar winner has been the subject of several fan campaigns to star as Celia St. James in a film adaptation of the 2017 Taylor Jenkins Reid novel.

Jonathan Majors is facing more abuse claims.

Variety reported Wednesday (April 19th) that multiple alleged abuse victims came forward in March and are working with the Manhattan district attorney's office.

Attorney Priya Chaudhry told Deadline, "Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone. We have provided irrefutable evidence to the District Attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated."

The Creed III star was arrested on March 25th in New York City on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment. He is due in court on May 8th.
